An author of fiction, like myself, should enlighten, entertain and mystify the reader with the unthinkable, with the surprise characters, and their dialogue that is so real you feel like you've known them forever.
John Burns is a multi-award winning author of screenplays. He admits that while it's great to receive recognition from the movie industry, he'd like to share his stories and tall tales with others outside of Hollywood. He came up with the brilliant idea of adapting some of his most popular scripts into novel form.
The Glass Alibi is John's first attempt, turning the 89 page 17, 600 word script into a 410 page, 90,400 word novel.
As it turns out, it was no easy trick but, he says, the experience was educational and gratifying.
John studied screenwriting with Professor Richard Walters (UCLA) and privately with master screenwriter Shane Black (Predator and Iron Man 3). He also studied creative writing while enrolled at U.C. San Francisco in Broadcast Communications.
John is married and splits his time between his home in the Old and Historic North Beach District of San Francisco and his home in the beautiful desert oasis of Palm Springs, California.
