Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to our classroom! A place where critical thinking, analytically reading and student growth will occur. Our class is a safe place where we will work as a team to ensure the success of our class. This class will not be one of ease or comfort. It will be a class where students are encouraged to go beyond what they are comfortable. We will not strive for ordinary but extraordinary. Students will be expected to put 110% into the class, they will have to work diligently together to make this year a successful one. I will guide you through our journey to ensure you stay on track, but YOU will need to be responsible to make sure all work is done, always prepared and on task. Remember cutting corners in this class will only hurt YOU in the end. Things may be tough at first but overall you will need to push through it and it will all be worth it. Look back at the contract you signed to make sure you are fulfilling all that you said you would. I promise as your teacher to assist you to succeed in my class and guide you to be well-rounded citizens of our Nation.
Grades:
50% Test: tests, writing projects, research projects
25%: Quizzes: quizzes, in-class essays, Google classroom posts.
10%: Class Participation: do now, exit tickets, class work, raising your hand in class, discussing class material.
15% Homework
