WBR Healthy Community Coalition Educational Workshops Registration
The West Baton Rouge Healthy Community Coalition is sponsoring “free” educational workshops October 13-14, 2015, 8:30am – 4:30pm at the West Baton Rouge Sheriff Posse located at 3975 Rosedale Rd, Port Allen, LA 70767 to explore community prevention approaches and strategies to reduce alcohol and tobacco use among youth. The featured speakers from the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America are Teresa Bishop and Stephanie Strutner who will be presenting on “Creating Positive Community Change: Partnership for Drug-Free Youth in West Baton Rouge”. Certificates of attendance will be given to all participants.

8:30am – 12 noon Law Enforcement/Parish Leadership/Business Owners (strategies to reduce access to alcohol and tobacco/local policy development such as local ordinances)
1:00 pm – 4:30pm School Staff/Healthcare & Social Service Providers/Fire Dept./ Office of Emergency Preparedness (supportive strategies to reduce risk and improve protection)
October 14
8:30am – 12 noon Parents, Youth, Faith-Based Community (social norms campaigns, youth-driven approaches, social hosting)
1:00pm – 4:30pm Coalition Members, Other Community Stakeholders (capacity building, mobilization, role as change agents, next steps post-training)
