100 DOLLARS, 100 DONORS, 100 DAYS

At Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, we believe that music is a powerful tool for self-expression and empowerment.  Music connects people across differences and making music together inspires creativity, collaboration, communication and respect. Your donation of $100 will ensure that we can continue to inspire and support girls, challenge gender stereotypes, and empower our youth to make this world a better place.

The first 100 donors will receive a handmade brass guitar pick with the donor number OF YOUR CHOICE!  Choose your favorite number (1-100) before it's gone and wear it to help promote the campaign:
"Hey what's that cool lucky number pin you're wearing?"
"That's my lucky donor number from the amazing 100 Dollars, 100 Donors, 100 Days Club in support of Bay Area Girls Rock Camp!  You should join too!"

WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
$100 pays for...
  ▷ 20 packs of guitar strings
  ▷ about one day's tuition at Girls Rock Summer Camp
  ▷ about one week's rent for our office/administrative space
  ▷ a year's worth of earplugs for 285 campers
  ▷ one practice amp
  ▷ teaching artist stipend for about six hours of music lessons
  ▷ homemade lunch for 20 mentors/volunteers at summer camp

WHY GIRLS ROCK CAMP?
BAGRC is unique for many reasons: We are the only music program just for girls in our region, and we offer an empowering, inclusive space free of judgment and bullying. Our mentors are trained in principles of anti-oppression, and all of our youth programs are sliding scale with no one turned away for lack of funds. We give away over $50,000 in financial aid every year, thanks to your support!  Check out this short video to learn more about why youth love our programs.

Requesting a matching gift from your employer is an easy way to make your gift go even further! We're happy to help provide any documentation you might need to secure a matching gift. Please contact us with any questions!

ABOUT YOUR PIN:  Pins are made of recycled raw brass and will develop a nice patina, or they can be polished with natural items like lemon juice, vinegar, or ketchup! Learn more about brass care here.
