This year, we are excited to present a double bill of Haresh Sharma’s Survivor Singapore and Joel Tan’s Mosaic. State of the Youth converges on struggles that Singaporean youths face at different stages in life.

Survivor Singapore follows three groups of students embarking on their (some would say, outrageous) Project Work journeys. In trying to "think out of the box", these students get themselves into serious trouble as they unknowingly breach the limits of what is acceptable to the system.

In Mosaic, university graduate Sharon and her boyfriend Hanis attempt to hold a demonstration against the demolishing of the old dragon playground. Fault lines quickly become apparent as more characters converge. She must choose between holding on to what she knows or letting go to start afresh.

How do these youths negotiate the systems in order to find their place as a single piece in the giant mosaic of society?
