COURSE DESCRIPTION: The goal of APUSH Boot Camp is to discuss and develop the skills students will need for success in high school, in college, and beyond. The Boot Camp is not only about learning academic content, but for developing those attributes that will guarantee success while having fun and building relationships.

AP US History Boot Camp is designed to give students enrolled in APUSH an opportunity to experience the types of activities and requirements involved in APUSH, as well covering a portion of the class that deals with recent history and is typically skimmed over during the school year. The Boot Camp will familiarize students with the course textbook, help them develop skills for note-taking and reading a college level textbook, review analytical essay writing, build time management skills, and work on analysis of primary and secondary sources. This week will take students through one chapter of the book, and provide them valuable insights as to what they can expect during the school year. In addition, this event will allow students to establish bonds with their peers that will promote solidarity in the classroom.

The AP US History Boot Camp is highly recommended to all students enrolling in AP US History in the fall.
