This event will be held Live, Online via Zoom, and also In Person here at the Sedgwick County Exension Education Center for those who prefer.  Instructions for accessing the workshop will be provided to all who choose to attend via Zoom.  Access to an internet-connected device such as laptop, desktop, or tablet is required for this option.  (Cell phones are not recommended due to the technology and verification requirements to receive credit.)  Devices with webcams are preferred; poll questions will be utilized to confirm virtual attendance.    

If multiple people from one company are interested in participating together under company supervision, options to set up a 'watch party' from one device are available.  Please contact Matthew McKernan for further information at 316-660-0140.

2021 Commercial Pesticide Applicator
Recertification Workshop for
3A, 3B, Core, and
Registered Technician Credits 

 

This workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  For the convenience of attendees, it is being offered as a hybrid event - you can participate either in person, or online via Zoom.  You will be required to indicate whether you are attending in person or virtually when you Register.  

For those attending in person:  We will provide distanced seating in 4-H Hall for approximately 150 attendees. Once these seats are taken, seating will be available in two satellite meeting rooms with large-screen monitors for viewing the live presentations.  Masks are encouraged, but currently not required. 

For those attending via Zoom:  Instructions for accessing the workshop online will be provided.  Access to an internet-connected device such as laptop, desktop, or tablet is required.  Participants will attend the presentations live, in real time, in order to receive Pesticide License credits.  Attendance will be verified during each presentation in order to receive credit, and participants must be present for the entire presentation hour in order to receive credit.

10:10-11:05am – Tips for Making Pesticide Applications More Effective (1 credit hour 3A & 3B)

11:05-12:00pm – Diseases of Turf & Ornamentals (1 credit hour 3A & 3B)

1:00 - 1:55pm - Insect Trends of 2021 (1 credit hour 3A & 3B)

1:55 - 2:50pm - Environmental Stress on the Kansas Landscape (1 credit hour 3A & 3B)

3:10 - 4:05pm - Pump Sprayers and Calibration (1 credit hour 3A & 3B)

4:05 - 5:00pm - Pine Problems in Kansas (1 credit hour 3A)
