The Science, Language Arts, and Mathematics (SLAM) Program is an intensive enrichment program for high school students that is designed to help enhance students’ science, language arts, mathematics, and reading skills. SLAM also provides students with opportunities to explore careers in health and science.
Students who are currently enrolled in the 9th, 10th, or 11th grades are eligible to apply for SLAM. Students will be assigned to a SLAM workshop based on the grade in which they are currently enrolled.
- SLAM I is for students who will have completed 9th grade by June 2025
- SLAM II is for students who will have completed 10th grade by June 2025
- SLAM III is for students who will have completed 11th grade by June 2025
SLAM I, SLAM III, and SLAM III will meet in person on the campus of Tougaloo College June 2-27, 2025. SLAM classes will meet Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
SLAM is a commuter program. We do not provide transportation or housing for SLAM. Students who successfully complete SLAM will receive a stipend.
