Hi Board members,

I wish to purchase any commerative stamp issued in between 1990-2000 in MNH condition at 500% of face value payable in US $ thru paypal.

Any quantity however small or large is welcome.

Will pay postage also.For example if you offer 1000 Rs. worth stamps i.e. approx. 20 US$ and I will pay 100US$+Postage by paypal.

Hi, I don't know what happened with previous posts but never mind. I'm posting this publicly for everyone to see. I have complete collectors pack 2003 as issued by India post. I got it from ex friend and kept it for all this years but he did some very wrong things and I fell like I have no reason to keep it any more, beside I don't collect India Hera are the scans and every body can see it and you can offer right price for them. FV 447 rupees as stated in pamphlet.

My offer was very open. Any commerative stamp issued between 1990-2000 in MNH condition will be bought at 500% of face value.

The post from ISG was not folowed through.

I had one offer from Mr.Pitronix for 2003 collector's pack which I agreed to buy at almost 400% of face value.

I paid the money but Mr.Pitronix refunded it saying that his dog ate the stamps.

That's the complete story for my offer to purchase indian mint modern stamps.

Well I always try to be nice but some of us are rustic by nature and humility doesn't come naturally to us and further English is not our mother tounge(for your information i had most of my schooling in Hindi and studied English only from 6th to 10th standard as an optional subject.)This is the story of my not adhering to your etiquette standards.I hope you don't mind it.

You know, those issues from the period you seek were issued when the Rupee was about 7 to 14-cents US... now it's less than 2-cents. So, 5 x present face for a 1 Rs face value stamp is less than US 10-cents that you'd pay. You're offering up to 30% under prior face value. You should offer the exchange rate that existed at the time the stamps had to be purchased from the post office.

Maybe you ought to be buying Swiss stamps from the 1990s - when a franc was 40-cents US. Today, the franc is $1 US. You'd pay $5 US for $2 value back then.

It was 6 years ago - I wouldn't worry to much.
