I LOVED this book. I laughed, I cried, I shared it with friends. I had heard about it for awhile and finally bought it for my SIL for Christmas. She immediately bought it for me as she was loving it so much. Now I plan to buy it for all my girlfriends with kids. It is so good as you appreciate you are not alone, others are struggling too, and we're all in this crazy, funny, tough ride together.

This is a cute collection of blog entries, some of which are really funny. But, I am having a hard time wanting to read about the exact same stuff I am going through as a parent of young kids, even though that is the reason I bought the book. Also, the entries are from blogs, which makes me wonder why I paid money for this. Not sure I will finish this one. On one hand, it's nice if you want to read one or two short stories, and on the other hand, there's no continuity, other than each story has something to do with parenting young children.

As a mom I am always looking for books that are easy and somewhat mindless... since each story (or "blog") is only a few pages long it is a great book to pick up during naptime, before bed, while the kids are in the bath, etc and take a short break from reality and have a few laughs while you are at it. It is also always nice to hear about other moms who have the same fears, joys, and concerns as you do as a mother. This is a light & quick read and a nice gift idea for new moms.

FYI, my thumb nail says this is by Stacy Morrision; she wrote the forward to the book. Rita Arens wrote the chapter introductions, several of the essays, and gathered the rest of the essays together.

I really enjoyed this book and showed several of the essays to friends and coworkers. I have recommended it to several people. The essays are posts from mommy-bloggers written over the last several years. The essays are very real and discuss the good, bad, and in between of motherhood. At turns it made me tear up, question my own mothering, feel I had a co-conspirator, made me go eehhk, and uhg, and ohhh, and snort out load in laughter.

When I read this book I was amazed and comforted reading about other moms who have experienced the same things I have. At first I really didn't find it funny cause it was so true but as I read more and more of the book i started laughing at it.
Defiantly a book that any mom should read.

When it's 3 AM, your nursing for the 4th time since 9:00 PM for the 10th day in a row and you feel like pulling out your hair...read this book. It's the only thing that made me keep my sense of humor and realize that 1) this too shall pass, and 2) there are other mothers who are going through the same thing.
