The Coalition is back together after an extraordinary week-long split.      

The parties have found agreement on four policy demands by the Nationals, including a nuclear power commitment.

The split led to days of infighting and jostling between the parties.

Erin Patterson is on trial accused of deliberately poisoning four people at a lunch at her home in 2023.  

She allegedly foraged for death cap mushrooms before serving a beef Wellington meal to her relatives.   

The Supreme Court trial for three murder charges and an attempted murder charge is expected to run for several weeks.  

The Reserve Bank of Australia has cut the cash rate by 0.25 of a percentage point.  

The cut from 4.1 per cent to 3.85 per cent means this is the lowest level for interest rates since May 2023.

Australia's Big Four banks have announced they will pass on the reduction to borrowers.

The former US president has an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer, and it has spread to the bone.

His office said the cancer appeared to be hormone-sensitive, which allowed for effective management.

The 82-year-old and his family are reviewing treatment options.
