About Our Speaker:
Lisa Montross-- a member of ABWA since 2004, is the current National President of ABWA and a Trustee of the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund. Previously, Lisa has served as the National Secretary Treasurer, District V Vice President and as President and Vice President for ViVon Chapter. Lisa has also served the Eastern Michigan Council Board as Communications Chair, Vice Chair and has served two terms as Council Chair. She was the 2007 Maia Chapter Woman of the Year, 2010 Eastern Michigan Council Woman of the Year, and 2015 ViVon Chapter Woman of the Year. Lisa has served on the District V Vice President's Luncheon Committee as chair, co-chair and on several committees. She is also a past recipient of the SBMEF Scholarship.
Lisa received her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University in 2012 and is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts with a double minor in Marketing and Advertising.
She is currently employed as the Membership Sales and Marketing Manager for the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lisa and her husband, Dave, love spending time with their family. If you happen to see her profile on Facebook you know Lisa loves their dog, Rosie. When she isn’t traveling, Lisa enjoys painting, reading, watching documentaries and being an active member in her community. She serves on several boards promoting women’s health and education.
