UP SLIS - NCCA Archives and Records Management Census in the Philippines (ARC Philippines) Institutions Survey
Greetings and thank you for participating in our census!

The Archives and Records Management Census in the Philippines (ARC Philippines) is part of an effort by the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies, funded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, to provide baseline data on the current state of archiving and records management in the country. The census focuses on identifying and understanding the profession through profiling and examining the background, characteristics, and needs of archivists and records managers across varying institutions and contexts. As a pilot census, this endeavor hopes to provide for the first time a scientifically sound measurement and a suitable framework for future studies on archiving and records management in the Philippines.

This Institutional Survey is one of the two questionnaires that we are using. Where the Individual Census focuses on the archivists and records personnel, this Institutional Survey focuses on the archives and/or records practices of the institution. We highly recommend that the person in- charge of the records/archives of the institution answer this survey. Every response is important as it will assist the UP SLIS in developing a graduate program / certificate course on the interrelated disciplines of archives and records management which will be offered to all individuals working in the records/archives profession.
Thank you very much for your assistance in our study.
