Songs of Aedragard

Pass through the fog, leaving behind its eyes and hungry maws. Beyond it lies a place forgotten, were riches awaits. But beware its singing, for all who hear it are doomed.

Experience Songs of Aedragard, a campaign starter module, for characters of 1st -3rd level, designed for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.

Built at the height of Besilmer's power, Aedragard was to shield the dwarven realms from all who sought to rob it of its riches. Twice it fell, and twice it laid forgotten. Now, Sigrid Blackburn, scion of the Blackburn Clan, has discovered her own claim to the castle and hired a band of adventurers to find it, and rid it of any undesirables dwelling within.

Yet, these adventurers will soon discover that not all that walk the blackened halls of Aedragard are willing, or capable, of moving on.

Songs of Aedragard features:

  • An adventure written in scenes, allowing you to keep your players focused on the important aspects of the story, while keeping their choices relevant.
  • A story that can be told without ever rolling initiative, featuring options for a fully pacifist run.
  • New Rules for managing non-violent conflict resolutions by conversing with the opposition.
  • 2 new monsters.
  • 3 magical items.
  • 1 artifact of dreadful power.
  • 7 to 10 hours of average playtime.

Content Warning: This product contains allusions / references to child death.

I ran this for my players as the introduction to our Curse of Strahd and everyone loved it. The adventure is easy to run and the branching paths allow the players to make meaningful choices and between the dungeon, the dragon, and the magical sword it [...]

There's good components here, but I don't feel that it actually comes together in a coherent way. On the way in, you're menaced by wolves that work for a dragon, but there's no indication of the dragon itself unless you suddenly fin [...]

Songs of Aedragard is a beautiful module that brings characters from level 1 to level 4. It is framed as a starter module like Lost Mines and contains information on how to DM, conduct actions, play D&D, and more. Songs of Aedragard is both [...]

Overall, this is a very amazing module to have for a new DM who needs a good quick session to throw for a group of people, especially when you have a child player who is interested in D&D. As a new DM, I always wanted to have a game that is friendl [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
