Bolsover District's Petition calling on the Local Plan to be scrapped
Labour’s local plan is a shambles. We believe our residents deserve better.

As residents and businesses you should have input into a sustainable local plan that will shape the direction of our District for the future.

Petition
We, the undersigned, note the content of Bolsover District Council's Draft Local Plan and believe that this has not been drafted in the best economic or development needs of either existing or potential new residents.

The plan makes no significant attempt to increase the number of well-paid jobs in our area. While it's target for 5,700 new homes ignores much of the significant building that has already taken place in the District. There is no attention to infrastructure or availability of school placements, health services or the adequacy of road networks and public transport provision.

We call for the Labour Party's Local Plan in North East Derbyshire to be scrapped; and for the Council to go out to proper consultation with residents - taking into account all economic, accessibility, security and environmental issues.
