Description
This week's discussion will focus on unique issues experienced by SBDC clients on the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) programs. We will dive into some of some topics that have received less guidance such as seasonal businesses with the PPP. We will also discuss the latest changes to the PPP loan forgiveness and EIDL, plus what may come next as Congress mulls another stimulus package. Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will cover any recent PPP Loan Forgiveness rule changes and their effects, update the Kern Recovers $25 million business forgivable loan program, along with the free small business PPE distribution network. Special guest, Jay Thompson, lead consultant for the CSUB SBDC joins us. He has worked with hundreds of local businesses on the PPP and EIDL applications, funding resolutions and other challenges, and will bring a unique perspective resolving issues from many area small businesses. This is the 19th in a weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options and stimulus packages, tax credit programs, plus other opportunities for employers and business owners. The SBDC remains available for free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can go to www.csubsbdc.com for more information or to sign up for assistance.
