training and empowering the next generation of food justice advocates and leaders
The CUNY Food Justice Leadership (CFJL) Fellowship is a paid program designed to offer opportunities for continued training and participation in a variety of food-centered civic activities for emerging food justice leaders at CUNY. This program is ideal for young students who are passionate about food justice and looking to strengthen their food justice leadership skills.
Over the summer, between June-August, fellows will engage in both classroom and experiential learning opportunities. During the week, students will have one day of coursework hosted in-person at the Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy (50 W 125th St), and will spend three days working at their internship sites. All fellows will be paid a generous stipend for their participation in the program, which is all made possible thanks to funding from the Levitt Foundation.
The next fellowship cohort is expected to begin in June 2024. Applications are now open until Sunday April 14th, 2024 at midnight (EST). Semi-finalists will be contacted 2 weeks after the deadline to schedule an interview. Acceptances will be announced by early May!
This program is made possible thanks to funding and support from the Levitt Foundation.
