Provision of CT Scanner at Walthamstow Public Mortuary
LB Waltham Forest Council are seeking your views regarding the installation of a Digital Autopsy Suite in a newly refurbished Mortuary. The goal is to provide an on-site non invasive/minimally invasive post mortem option for residents of the borough and greater surrounding areas. A digital autopsy is an advanced process that utilises software and a digital CT scan of the deceased to allow an examination to be conducted, without a full invasive autopsy. We are currently preparing a business case to support a feasibility report and would greatly appreciate any feedback you have on the proposal. I am a member of the Waltham Forest community and I fully support the proposal to install a Digital Autopsy Suite at the Queens Road Mortuary, Walthamstow. I believe it would be of benefit to many people who wish to avoid having invasive post-mortems done on them or their family members. I think an alternative as would be much welcomed.
