After painting realistically with oils and acrylics for most of my life, I tried out spray paint for the first time -- and it wasn't as easy as I thought! ;)
Hope you enjoy this journey with me, and check out my realistic paintings & drawings here: http://www.Adesina.com
Materials: Ironlak & Montana Black spray paints, stock & skinny caps.
Day 1:
With no plan or particular idea in mind, I set up a canvas and just started spraying. Whoa, were these cans difficult to control! And blending? Not a chance. :(
Day 2:
I bought some skinny caps and Montana Black translucent colors ("Magic Black" & "Magic White") to see if I could get more control of my lines, and also create some shading. Better!
Much respect to all the awesome street artists out there - now I can see how much time and practice goes into what you do, and I look forward to getting my spray paint skills up to par with my traditional painting skills!
