Saturday

April 29, 2017

8:30 am - 12:30 pm

More Event Details

Wildlife is all around us, you just have to start looking.  Junior girls will earn their Animal Habitats badge while Cadettes will earn their Woodworking badge. All girls will learn about wild animals, special and endangered habitats, focusing on Florida wildlife. Girls will investigate and explore local habitats through the River Center’s exhibits and aquariums. Finally, girls will help protect animal’s habitats and put their skills to the test by creating animal houses. Each participant will leave the workshop with an animal box that they created and decorated themselves to help make their backyard and community more animal friendly. By being good woodworkers and advocates for wild animals, we can all help make the world a better place.
