PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Human Relations Ambassadors Program is a yearlong internship designed to provide advanced human relations training and skills to a diverse cross section of Orange County youth. Ambassadors further the mission of OC Human Relations by serving as youth representatives of the agency in their communities and at events as participants, presenters, facilitators and engaged young scholars with commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
MISSION STATEMENT
HRAP seeks to create a safe environment for students to attain the skills and knowledge in order to become leaders that can reach out to the diverse communities of Orange County as part of a larger human relations and social justice movement.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
Attend (3) Community-based event or program
Complete (3) short writing assignments
Complete (1) public speaking engagement
Complete (1) collaborative community-wide project
MEETING DATES - While participants are encouraged to attend all meeting dates, participants are allowed up to 5 excused/unexcused absences.
