How do we respond to moments of change? What causes the panic, depression, anger, despair, and sometimes joy that suddenly erupts in people and groups? These are the questions that theatre and dance students and faculty found themselves asking as they developed performance projects for this unconventional, but necessary production. Reflecting many varied reactions, these individual pieces examine how we develop- and sometimes lose- the connections between people, between our not so distant past, and how we hold on to the things and people we have lost. We also explore how we battle our inner demons who show themselves when we are at our most vulnerable. "2020 Discoveries" is a multifaceted and multimodal exploration of where we are right now and how we might move forward with our lives.
