About the Author
Her first whisperings of a story and being a romance writer came during a college History of England class when studying about Hadrian's Wall. Much too busy with raising two children and academic studies, she brushed the voices away and completed her college degree.
Eventually she migrated to Florida where she has lived, worked and studied writing since arriving on the sunny shores of the Gulf of Mexico.
Aithne finally listened to the bard's whispers, sat down to begin writing a story and words tumbled forth. That moment in time changed the direction of her life. Now, a writer for only five years, she has spent time honing her craft.
Romance built around seeds of world history give a unique flare to her paranormal stories. Love and romance binds everything together with endearing energy, weaving them into inspiring folktales.

About the author

Aithne Jarretta lives in Clearwater, Florida, United States
Once upon a time Aithne Jarretta tripped upon a ley line. Actually it had happened before, but she didn't realize the ramifications until later.
She brushed the incident aside and climbed into her car. Real life was the important factor at the moment. However, those RL moments wove into meeting new friends--the kind most people never see and definitely don't chat much about. Those friends came with persistent voices.
Eventually Aithne brought them out of the closet and politely called them Muses. They became her virtual traveling companions and still journey with her today.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2012I LOVED this story. Sensual, intense, fast-paced, Concentric Circles hooked me. Not your average romance, I thought it a breath of fresh air. What a great read!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2012I read both "Claire: The Lost Fae" and "Concentric Circles". I will be reviewing both.
I felt "C:TLF" was a stronger book. The writing was more polished, I felt and it wasn't building off the Harry Potter fanbase. I couldn't tell if Concentric Circles was trying to rip off HP with so many similarities or what.
The series has the potential to be really good- I would suggest that she maybe do a second edition on Concentric Circles and fix the inconsistencies between the two (her Mom didn't know who her dad was, etc. ) connected stories. Leave "C:TLF" alone as it is the stronger of the two.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2012It was a good story and kept my interest all the way through. The characters were great and had good chemistry. I do have just a few complaints. First, the American didn't talk like she was from America. And there were several times that I felt left out or like I had completely missed something. I would go back and re-read but never find anything I missed. I just didn't understand what they were talking about sometimes or how things developed to where they were. Maybe it was me - I don't know. I still enjoyed the ride, even in ignorance.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2011Enter a world filled with magic and history yet set in present day with all our conveniences and problems. Put the day's troubles behind you and allow yourself be transported into a world of fantasy, lust and romance when you first begin to read Concentric Circles.
When Shayla schedules a vacation to England to visit a historic site she is unaware of the unknown forces that are drawing her to the site where her destiny will be revealed. Daughter of an orphan, Shayla has always had special powers that defy explanation and that have been frowned upon and discouraged. But in this new world that is also so old, Shayla learns the true meaning of her gifts and learns why she is so blessed.
Meekal Magdal-eder Chilkwell, also known simply as Kal, is the man who has been fated to not only assist Shayla in learning about her ancestry and her mission in life but also to awaken a passion like she has never known. With her intuitive senses and his knowledge, and power, the two join as soul mates to battle the evil that threatens their world.
Concentric Circles was a very enjoyable read. I found my eyes blurring from staring at the screen for so long but was unable to tear myself away until I reached the end. The only criticism I had was that for a few chapters too much information was given to the reader and it can be difficult to absorb. As well there were sections that I had to go back and read again because I felt like I had missed something.
All in all though author Aithne Jarretta has done a fantastic job and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a magical story strengthened with a little sensual romance.
