“Kindergarten Ready” is a two-week daily readiness program for students entering kindergarten in August, 2018. The program will take place at both Tri-Central and Tipton Elementary schools from July 15 to July 26, running 8:30 to 2:30 each day.

Transportation will be provided to and from the program and each student will receive a healthy breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack provided by the schools dining services. The program is entirely free to families, and registration will open immediately after the Kindergarten Roundup at each school.

There are no restrictions on who can sign up, but if the program exceeds 30 participants, preference will be given to those students with either little to no pre-k experience, or those whose pre-k assessment indicated the most need.

The program is funded by the Tipton County Foundation and the United Way Serving Tipton and Howard Counties. The program will be staffed by the Kindergarten and Preschool team at each school, and assisted by vetted school and Foundation volunteers.
