I keep this book in my bedside table. It protects my electronics from a 2.5 year old. So far it has been very successful. The child will go for the book 9 times out of 10 and become immersed in Bill Watterson's world and forget about my true wireless headphones. Side story, I spent 40 minutes digging through my dirty laundry before owning this book. I was looking for my headphones after the 2.5 year old told me he put them in the laundry. My clothes are all gray and the Jabra 75Ts are also gray. You will not regret buying this book

    I, like most of my generation, grew up reading Calvin and Hobbs but I had forgotten about it as I got older. My 9 year old discovered it at a friend's house and fell in love. The truly remarkable thing is that she is dyslexic and has really struggled with reading. I have tried to find a book that would speak to her little soul and help her to discover a love for reading but hadn't found one until Calvin and Hobbs entered her life.
    She now reads it every single night, and it has been so fun to hear her laugh and truly enjoy what she is reading. It has made all the difference in her reading skills and consequently her confidence has grown exponentially. I cannot recommend this book more for the struggling reader or any kid who would like to laugh and enjoy the silly little world that is Calvin and Hobbs.

    This book always deserve 5 stars. The only reason I am giving a 4 star review is because of the absence of panel view. Kindle paperwhite users beware! I found this book by filtering from the search results of comics providing panel view options. I was thrilled and bought this edition, only to find the size of the comic panels extremely small, unable for my eyes to react.

    In the Kindle paperwhite, the size of the 'Calvin and Hobbes' comic panels can be zoomed in and out only by pinching, but that cannot be the solution, possibly. I wrote to the customer service, for not providing with the panel view. They immediately apologised that the information on provision of panel view in this book was wrong and and assured me that they will update the file if the panel view really becomes available. They also assured that they will inform the developers to upgrade the file with more user friendliness. Anyway, this kindle edition is a major disappointment for users with poor vision.

    Otherwise, the content of the book is great and can be read a number of times. I going to present a hardcover book to my nephew on his birthday.

    I got this, and all the other Calvin + Hobbes books for my dad, as he used to have a lot of them before my ex stepmother took them in their divorce a few years ago. I grew up stealing those books from him to read, and we had a lot of good memories around those books and reading them together. The experience both united us and made us better English readers.
