The Let's Be Ladies Foundation (LBLF) started as an idea of Shontel Booker. The oldest girl of six siblings, she found her individuality by engaging in different camps and summer programs as a youth.  Her involvement in these programs propelled her to attend college, explore different workforces, and inspired her to create Let's Be Ladies Foundation.

The LBLF provides mentorship, leadership, community engagement, personal development, and entrepreneurship to girls ages 12 - 25. Their vision is to develop programming and guide girls into prosperous ladies who will continue to shape the community.

The LBLF is requesting support in the amount of $150,000 to further the shared interest in supporting middle and high school BIPOC girls most impacted by distance learning. In addition to providing the much-needed support to ensure that young girls are equipped to focus on personal development and achieving their goals. The LBLF provides coaching to young ladies in order to tap into entrepreneurship as well as help them understand the importance of establishing social enterprises, as a result, begin to end the economic disparities in Minnesota.

The LBLF has been working diligently on making their vision a reality.

The Let’s Be Ladies Foundation is seeking resources to help continue their work to provide cultural representation for Social Emotional Learning and support for students and their families.

Your resources will help BIPOC students that are facing significant barriers to receive engaging education addressing core learning and Social Emotional Learning. More than 40 % of middle and high school students were failing at least one class as of late October and suffering from systemic racism.

The LBLF mission is to provide substantial programs that will inspire girls for a lifetime. Providing a space where young girls can grow their individuality, explore new ways of learning, and develop a framework for working in a social enterprise model.

The LBLF is counting on your support. Responding positively their ask, resources will go toward supplies, field trips, workshops, workbooks, and other resources for students. The LBLF is recognized by the federal government as a tax-exempt, 501c3/nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Thank you in advanced for your generous contribution!
