The Library & Learning Resources Associates (LLRA) Group raises money for the Multidisciplinary Success Centers, the Library, the Tutoring & Supplemental Instruction Centers, and the Academic Computing Center for projects and items that support learning. As a part of the Long Beach City College Foundation, funding from the LLRA is responsible for a number of projects and purchases that directly benefit students such as anatomical skeletons and storage cases in Tutoring Center & PCC Multidisciplinary Success Center, phone chargers for students in the computer labs and Multidisciplinary Success Center, outreach supplies for visiting college students from K-12 schools, Donut Stress events to support students during Finals, a carpet for story time events with the Child Development Center at the PCC library, expansion of PCC Library’s electric outlets so students could access them at tables throughout the library safely, AND SO MUCH MORE! We do this by organizing events like this. In the past and in the future, we also hold fundraising events that bring local authors, poets, and more in for live panels and exciting workshops right at LBCC and open to the public.
