DEADLINE FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE HAS BEEN EXTENDED!
MEET the Mountaineers is a 5K Run/Walk fundraising event focused on raising academic awareness for University High School (Morgantown, WV) students. The West Virginia University Student Athletes will take part in the 5K as well as the WVU Mountaineer! Local media will be present to promote the event. Proceeds will benefit WVU ESGA.
March 30th 2014
12:30 PM Check in begins
1:00 PM WVU Student Athletes will hold a question and answer session for University High School students.
2:00 PM The Mountaineer Mascot will start the race shooting off his musket. The 5K will start at the WVU Track and loop around the WVU Campus.
T-shirts will be given to participants who register before March 21st! Registration is available after March 21st and on the day of the event but T-shirts will not be guaranteed for those registering after March 21st.
This is a rain or shine event. In the case of rain or snow the prizes, food, athletes, and music will be held inside the Shell building located next to the WVU Mountaineer Track. The route for the race will remain outside. The trail will go through pavement, side walk, woods, mud, hills, and grass so dress accordingly.
Registration for this event is nonrefundable.
