McMillen HS Chemistry

Peri LoBue - B.A., M.Ed.

Chemistry, Science Dept. Head

I am a native Texan, though I lived in Colorado for 3 years and Southern California for 2. I’m a mom of 2, stepmom of 2, and my kids go to McMillen, and University of North Texas. I’m also a proud mom of a rescue pitbull. This is my 26th year teaching. I graduated, class of ‘89, from Plano East Senior High, received my Bachelor’s degree from University of North Texas, and my Master’s in Education from Lamar University. I’ve taught integrated science courses, International Baccalaureate classes, Biology, Earth Science, and Chemistry. Outside of school, I love camping (well, to be honest, more like "glamping"), traveling (especially cruises), and just relaxing and hanging with my husband, kids, and dog, who are the joys in my life.

The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it. ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

Honors Chemistry

I was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas and graduated from Brownwood High School. I earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at Stephen F. Austin State University and completed my teaching certification at the University of Texas at Dallas. This is my 15th year teaching, and I transferred to McMillen from Williams High School when McMillen opened in 2011. I enjoy camping and watching movies with my husband and seven year old son. Over the years, I have taught on-level and honors biology and chemistry, and thoroughly enjoy all of them. Since 2017, I have also been the co-sponsor for Science Fair.

Chemistry and Honors Chemistry

Welcome to chemistry. My name is Maysaa Enaya and I teach On level and Honors chemistry here at McMillen HS. I am honored to be part of such a great team here at McMillen. I earned my B.S degree in chemistry from University of Jordan in Amman. I earned my Masters in Arts of Teaching Science from UTD. And my Masters in Science from Texas A&M Commerce.

I taught 5-11 grades science, chemistry and AP chemistry. Chemistry is such a great subject as it explains almost everything around us. My goal for each student is not only to learn chemistry but be able to apply their learning into their daily lives and be successful. I have high expectations of all my students and I believe together we can prepare our future leaders.
