„Miasto i Kultura” to nie tylko warsztaty dla praktyków i teoretyków kultury bądź scena artystyczna. To także idea Wrocławia jako przestrzeni wspólnej, w której razem przeciwdziałamy wykluczeniu, angażując grupy będące ofiarami stereotypów w działania związane z kulturą. W ramach programu „mikroGRANTY ESK 2016” udało się nam wesprzeć projekt „SitoOgrodnicy” w unikalnej przestrzeni MiserArtu i dziś chcemy zaprosić Was do wzięcia udziału w wyjątkowym warsztacie sitodruku.

"City and Culture” is not only about workshops for practitioners and theorists of culture. It is not only about art interventions. Most of all it is about the idea of Wrocław seen a shared space, where everyone of us actively counteracts exclusion. We can do this by involving groups that are the victims of stereotypes in cultural projects. "microGRANTS ECoC 2016” programme enabled the possibility of supporting the "ScreenprintingGarden” in MiserArt, an extraordinary space in Wrocław. We want to share this experience with you, so we’re inviting you to join us during this unique screen printing workshop.

Interesują nas ludzie w głębi własnej różnorodności. MiserArt jest miejscem poza etykietą, w którym nie chcemy prowokować, lecz naruszać poprawność odgradzającą nas od uważnego spojrzenia na rzeczywistość ludzi wykluczonych i w tej perspektywie spojrzeć na siebie. Pragniemy dyskretnie odsłaniać choćby najbardziej niepokojące zjawiska, a w nich osoby noszące w sobie odmienne światy, których eksplikacja niesie często za sobą ich stygmatyzację. W MiserArt na każdym z dostępnych poziomów staramy się zatrzeć rozróżnienia jawiących się opozycji, tym samym zacierać dychotomię: „my/oni”, konstytuującą każdą formę wykluczenia.

MiserArt jest pomyślane jako pracownia, galeria sztuki, warsztat rzemiosł i upcyklingu, kawiarnia, w którym istotą jest relacyjne przenikanie się różnorodnych, często skrajnych doświadczeń w celu wzajemnego ubogacania się. To społeczne translatorium, w którym osoby bezdomne włączają się w proces twórczy na tym samym poziomie, co inni zaangażowani partnerzy. Ideą naszego programu jest stworzenie w MiserArt eksperymentalnego miejsca, w którym wypracowujemy procesy możliwe do przełożenia na pracę innych grup zorientowanych na problem wykluczenia społecznego i aktywizację osób bezdomnych.

We are interested in the depths of our own diversity. MiserArt is a place outside the label, where we do not want to provoke but violate the correctness that separates us from a careful look at the reality of excluded people and in this perspective look at each other. We want to unobtrusively discern even the most disturbing phenomena and the people who carry different worlds, whose explication often leads to their stigmatization. In the MiserArt on each of the available levels we try to obliterate the distinctions of opposing views, thereby obliterating the dichotomy: "we/them", constituting every form of exclusion.

MiserArt is conceived as a studio, art gallery, craft and upscaling workshop, a cafe in which the essence is the relational penetration of diverse, often extreme experiences for mutual enrichment. It is a social translator where homeless people are involved in the creative process at the same level as other involved partners. The idea behind our program is to create an experimental site in MiserArt, where we work out processes that can be translated into the work of other groups focused on the problem of social exclusion and the activation of the homeless.

Mirek i Natalia. On - były sportowiec i majster (malarz-piaskarz konstrukcji stalowych), mający za sobą doświadczenie bezdomności. Ona - absolwentka wrocławskiej ASP na kierunku "grafika", stypendystka Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego za pracę "Współczesny druk na tkaninie w Polsce", uwielbiająca pracę z ludźmi. Tworzymy trzon pracowni sitodruku działającej jako jedna z pracowni rzemieślniczych w MiserArt - strefie kreatywnej w labiryncie wykluczenia przy ulicy Cybulskiego we Wrocławiu. Angażujemy w swoje działania osoby wykluczone społecznie. Zarażamy pasją. Uwielbiamy wyzwania. Wychodzimy z sitodrukiem do ludzi, by uświadomić im tkwiący w nich twórczy potencjał, a przy okazji obalamy stereotypy. Wiemy, że moc tkwi w każdym - wystarczy ją obudzić!

Mirek and Natalia. He is a former athlete and foreman (steel painter) with an experience of homelessness in his life. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wrocław, a scholarship recipient of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of RP for her work "Contemporary Printing on Fabrics in Poland", an enthusiast of working with people. Together we create the core of a screen printing studio acting as one of the craft studios in "MiserArt - the creative zone in the labyrinth of exclusion” at Cybulskiego Street in Wrocław. We engage in socially excluded activities. We are infecting others with passion. We love challenges. We go out with screen prints to people in order to make them aware of their creative potential, and by the way we overturn the stereotypes. We know that power lies in everyone – all we have to do is to wake her up!
