Norwin HS Parking - Adult Verification
Students who wish to drive multiple days for the same reason need to provide a relevant adult's verification of their request.  This adult might be a relevant teacher, coach, or employer.  This form is intended to be completed BY THOSE ADULTS, and not the students who are requesting the validation.

PLEASE NOTE: PARENTS ARE NOT TO COMPLETE THIS FORM AS THE 'VERIFYING ADULT'.  This form should be completed by adults in charge of various sports, clubs, etc.  Your child will likely know who this person is.

Thank you in advance for your time in completing this information.

NOTE - Students who need to drive because of an administrative necessity (CO-OP, hybrid schedule, early release, etc) do not need to have this section completed.  We will handle validation in-house.

IN-DISTRICT ATHLETIC COACHES & CLUB SPONSORS
You do not need to complete it once per student, BUT if you have 'classes' of participants who have varied levels of time commitment, you might choose to complete it once for each 'type'.  For example, OFFICERS in your club might be required to meet with you twice a week each week, while NON-OFFICERS might only meet twice a month.  If you feel you have certain 'classes' within your sport or activity, please indicate that by completing this form more than once.

OFF-CAMPUS EMPLOYERS / NON-DISTRICT ACTIVITIES
In most cases, you will be asked to complete this on a student-by-student basis.   HOWEVER, if you know of multiple students who will be participating, you may type them in at the same time when prompted.  After the first time you enter your background information, you don't need to enter it all in the next time.  Just your name should be sufficient to sort later information correctly.  Thank you for helping us confirm our students' driving obligations!

Please refer to Norwin High School 'Parking Policies' packet for full details (available on our website).  If you have any questions about student driving and your connection as a 'Verifying Adult', please do not hesitate to e-mail Matt Anticole at the high school.  (manticole@norwinsd.org)

STUDENT PARKING POLICY OVERVIEW
STUDENT PARKING POLICY OVERVIEW
Student driving is intended for students who could make it to their obligation on time while riding the bus home.  Please note that school dismisses at 2:16 p.m. with most students arriving home by 2:45 p.m.  Please consider this when filling out this form.  If the student does not need to start RIGHT after school, it is likely that they do not need a parking pass to participate and you can save your time not filling this form out.

Given valid cause to drive as noted above, all students can drive up to three days a week on a DAY-BY-DAY pass.  Students who have obligations that commit them on a regular basis to drive three or more days a week can apply during certain windows for a SEASONAL pass.  Space limitations in our parking lot require us to assign only a limited number of these seasonal passes, so the application process is important in being able to assign theses spots as guided by School Board policy.

Validating Adult Information

IN GENERAL, how many school days each week will the student participate in this activity?
Select boxes as to best describe obligation.  For example if generally they would need to participate 1 or 2 school days a week, then check both of those boxes.  On the other hand, if it is a guaranteed 4 day commitment then just click the '4' box.  Please do not include weekends in this total.
Does this activity occurs at a time and location that would make it difficult for students to take the bus home and still be able to participate without being late?
Remember, the high school dismisses at 2:16 p.m. and many students are dropped off at their stop before 2:45.
