The Northern Illinois Conference's
2023 Anti-racism Film Series seeks to "go deeper" in valuing and appreciating the rich history, culture, and experiences of the ethnic diversity within our conference.
Several churches and North Central College are host sites for a community meal.
These community gatherings will include a time for fellowship over a meal, a presentation and a panel discussion (streamed over Zoom). Additional time will be allowed for further in-person discussions. These gatherings will be held on Thurs., May 25, 6-8p and one will be held on Sat., May 27, 12:30-2:30p (see additional details below). Please take the time to read here and watch the 30-minute documentary prior to attending this event.
We invite you to attend one of these sites. Registration is required and space is limited. To help offset the cost of providing a meal, there is a $5 fee payable at the door. Please bring cash.
Your contact information will be shared with the site you select. The churches are preparing food for the number of people who have registered for their site. If you register and your availability changes and you are not available to attend, please email Amania Drane at adrane@umcnic.org to let her know that you will not be attending.
If you have questions, please contact Tim Alexander, at
Tim@osumc.org.
