The NeoTRIPS Early Breast Milk Quality Improvement Project (EBMQIP) has the primary aim of decreasing the amount of time it takes for premature babies to receive their mother’s breast milk, and as a consequence, to improve the package of bonding care for families that takes place surrounding this. Early expression and intake of breast milk has significant benefits for babies in health and neurodevelopmental outcomes, and for mothers by increasing volumes of milk they are able to express in their baby’s early life.
Our secondary aim is, via national collaboration, for quality improvement to improve trainee experience and confidence in QI. Through bringing together great ideas, enthusiastic people, lived experience, QI expertise and extensive resources, we hope to be able to support trainees to boost national perinatal optimisation efforts through a collaborative and systematic approach.
We are recruiting local hospital trainee leads and Consultant leads who will be responsible for collecting data and disseminating information on the project locally. Please use this form to sign up.
