An actively engaged and informed K-12 community is critical to the success of the Common Core State Standards and PARCC assessments. As such, below are a variety of ways educators can be involved throughout the entire development and implementation process to ensure the assessment system reflects the best practices and meets the needs of teacher. PARCC also wants to make sure that educators have ongoing opportunities to give feedback on and understand the Common Core and PARCC assessments so that they can be active participants in their implementation.

We encourage you to prioritize the activities you select for now; there will be additional opportunities to be involved as PARCC further engages in the design and development of the PARCC assessments and related instructional tools and resources.

PARCC will continue to update this survey over time to take into account new opportunities for involvement. Please feel free to share with colleagues.

All PARCC states will be engaging with cadres of educators around the Common Core and PARCC assessments. Through these cadres, educators will have the opportunity to learn about PARCC up close and personally, test the instructional tools, and get the information they need to educate their peers on PARCC and its related resources.
