Film Submissions Wanted!

The 8th River and Ocean Film Festival is slated to return in 2024!

Save the date for TWO showings of the festival this year: July 26th in Port Angeles AND October 18th in Forks. As always, the River and Ocean Film Festival will bring you a collection of short films that highlight the natural and social dimensions of the coast and coastal watersheds of the Olympic Peninsula.  The River and Ocean Film Festival this year will be brought to you by the North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee, Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, the Clallam County Marine Resources Committee, Surfrider Foundation, and Washington Sea Grant.

Film submissions are now being accepted. Films must be less than 20 minutes long, and relevant to the natural or social dimensions of the coast and coastal watersheds of the Olympic Peninsula. To submit a film, please email the title and length of the film to Ian Miller at immiller@uw.edu. The deadline for submissions is April 22, 2024.

The previous River and Ocean Film Festival took place way back in 2020 and was presented online as a series of three episodes, which are now freely available online for you to enjoy.  The online version of the 7th Annual River and Ocean Film Festival was brought to you by the North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee and Washington Sea Grant.
