How Process Workflow can extend the role of integration
November 24th 2020, 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM CET (Berlin)
Process workflow is often the human-facing counterpart of back-end integration. Each one can leverage the power of the other but they often don't play well together because they cater for different profiles. Oracle Integration Cloud reduces this disconnect in a powerful way that opens new capabilities.
We will demonstrate how each one can leverage the other, and even extend the reach of integration with the use of Robotic Process Automation.

Speaker: Chris Peytier, Oracle EMEA
Schedule: November 24th 2020, 4:30 PM -  5:30 PM CET (Berlin time)

Choosing Your Update Window by Antony Reynolds
We currently provide OIC functional updates every quarter. For OIC Generation 2 instances we do this in two windows, usually two weeks apart. Starting with the November release we will allow customers to select the windows in which they wish to be updated. We recommend that non-production instances are updated in the first window and production instances in the second window. This allows customers to sanity check the update before it is applied to production instances.

How to use the OCI Object Storage from the Oracle Integration Cloud by Daniel Martins Teixeira
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) offers a great set of services that can be very useful in combination with the Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for a wide variety of use cases. Things like the Object Storage, Oracle Streaming Service, Functions etc, can easily be accessed from OIC. The OCI ecosystem has a rich set of API’s that can be used for that purpose. In this post I am going to show how to create a file in the Oracle Object Storage.
      What is the Object Storage
“The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage service is an internet-scale, high-performance storage platform that offers reliable and cost-efficient data durability. The Object Storage service can store an unlimited amount of unstructured data of any content type, including analytic data and rich content, like images and videos.”

A Simple Guide to Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) Job Support in Oracle HCM Cloud Adapter by Prakash Masand, and Asawari Pawar
Oracle Integration continues to simplify integrations with Oracle HCM Cloud by adding native support to more and more Oracle HCM integration touch points. Oracle Integration now supports Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) jobs, a powerful tool for bulk loading data through integrations. Using Oracle HDL, you can load business objects for most Oracle HCM Cloud products into Oracle Integration. For example, you can load new hires from Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (Taleo EE) as workers into Oracle HCM Cloud using an Oracle HDL job.

OIC Connectivity Agent by Daniel Teixeira
The OIC connectivity agent is the answer for a secure hybrid deployment, where you have a mix of cloud and on-premise applications and need to ensure a secure communication.
The agent is the handler/listener that manages both inbound/outbound communication. This ensures that there is no need to open a port in the on premise firewall.
      1. Create an Agent Group
The agent group is a logical group to which we can associate the physical agents installed on premise. Very simple to create one - Just provide a name and a description.
      2. Download and Run the Connectivity Agent Installer

OIC REST API for Lookups by Niall Commiskey
Above, my lookup. Here are the Lookup REST APIs - Retrieve is easy - Per default, retrieve does not show me the row values e.g. USD, GBP etc.
I just need to add the following query parameter, in order to retrieve the contents - Update - let's add a couple of new entries. So what does my request look like? Now let's check the Lookup in OIC - As you can see, the original entries have been overwritten. In this case, update means essentially replace..

Business Process Automation using Oracle Process Cloud Service by Lalitha Selvaraj
Why do we need Process Cloud Service?
Oracle Process Cloud Service lets you automate business processes in the cloud. A business flow can be created through PCS which goes through multiple/single approval process and can also send email notifications for single/multiple users through mail to approve or reject the process flows through online. Turn your company’s specific processes into process applications by creating process models that includes requests, approvals, decision paths and roles for each task. Process cloud mainly used for Healthcare to improve patient care. Endless forms with personal details, medical history, medical tests, diagnoses and treatments. Not only it is difficult to collect patient form data, save and manage these databases, but it’s also difficult to quickly access them. PCS enables you to configure and customize emails sent as notifications to human workflow task assignee's (the default email notification is too basic, containing only a link to the Workspace app). You can create your own email templates that can include payload information, task information, links and comments.
Integrating Oracle Process Cloud service with Oracle Integration Cloud Service:
Integrating Oracle Process Cloud Service with Oracle Integration Cloud Service which uses REST service to fetch the data from on-premise applications or cloud applications. Process applications can communicate and exchange data with local and remote applications that are exposed as either SOAP or REST. The ICS Integration is available for use from any service task. Using the known Data Association feature, you can map a data object to either hold the information that you want to send to the ICS or hold the information sent back by the ICS.
