HighFivan building Pure Muscle with Betancourt's Pure Amino!

    What a pretty product <3

    If you're curious as to the benefits of bcaa supplementation, bodybuilding.com has some great resources, such as this short video;

    BCAA's!

My goals for this product are to put on some weight (ideally muscle )

I'm hoping that the increased recovery time aided by Pure Amino, in addition to my modified training routine will help me increase my lean mass and strength gains.

My current weight; March 31st- 176.6 post workout

I want to sit comfortably above 180 by the end of this trial!

My current training split, which may change if I dont see fit, consists of; 2 days squatting, 1 day sumo deadlifting, 1 day primarily shoulder training, with a maximum of 4 training days per week (previously trained 6 days/wk).

I would like to see strength increases in my sumos (325 x 5 PR) and squats (PR unknown for current depth)

The decrease in caffeine should help increase my appetite, but the non stimulant boost of Pure Amino should keep me going strong!

    Day 1:Legs (squats/RDLS)
    Day 2:Off
Day 3:Back/ Chest (Sumo deadlifts, etc)
    Day 4:Legs (squats/walking lunges)
    Day 5:Off
    Day 6:Shoulders/ Arms/ Traps
    Day 7:Off

Currently my diet is highly flexible, aiming for a total caloric intake of ~4,000kcal or more. at least 80g fat, 180 protein, as many carbs as i can handle!

    First Shake

Was thrown off by easter weekend (no internet at family's)
so this is super late! but here is Wednesday's first shake creation

    cliffs:
    Shake-
    1 scoop Pure Aminos
    2 servings glycoject
    1.5 litres water
    1, 200mg caffeine pill

I can't assess shake taste from this because I had added glycoject this time. Next shake will be pure... pure aminos

However I felt great through my back workout (no specifics on lifts unfortunately as it has passed quite some time now) I did however set my PR of 325x 5 on sumo deadlifts! so a pleasant start for me

I ended up training a girlfriend of mine, so my workout dragged on for the hour we trained together, and a separate hour and a half for me to get my actual workout in! I would not have been able to make it without those aminos!

I have in the past. I normally carry around a full 3Litre water and try and drink the entire thing over the span of my workout. it seems easier to just mix my aminos in it, than to try and carry around 2 bottles, or try and refill such a large one. I'm also not a fan of very strong flavors, so it works out well!

skipping ahead to some shoulders and arms! (needed a feel good workout for monday haha) had to cut it short to shoulders/tris today.

still feeling that good energy, notable still after not taking a stimulant for todays workout.

haha thats what i was thinking! but maybe just my increased water intake would attribute to that. who knows. my forearms feel like they are going to blow up every workout tho :0

    ------
    Shake: 1.5 scoops Pure Amino
    5 g creatine monohydrate
    ~2 Litre Water

    consumed pre/intra workout

    Legs!

weight= 179.6 after consuming 5,500 calories yesterday. at 4,200 today as of now. bulk hard my friends.

trained a gorgeous brazillian today, so it was hard to sneak in an actual workout (one day i'll find a wife that can keep up)
plus changing plates from 10lbs to 90 per side was killing me every set... time consuming, not effort lol.

    Barbell Squats
    45 x 8
    135 x 8
    225 x 5
    225 x 5
    225 x 5
    225 x 5

I did the same weight as my last leg day, even though I was supposed to go up to 235 today, but because my rest time was literally halved (women be impatient) I had to work with what i got. Felt rather easy, excited for next leg day.

    Walking Lunges
    60 x 30 (15/leg)
    60 x 30
    60 x 30

    Ham-Glute Raise
    BW x 10
    BW x 10
    BW x 10
    BW x 8

but who was calves? I know...

    Long workout!
Definitely loved the superset, the burn only fueled my drive to work harder
my energy was dropping and spiking quite a bit since the intensity of my sets were significantly higher

luckily I had my big ol' 3L jug of aminos to keep me steady

    Legs Jello

had a real rough morning, wont really go into it, but needless to say it drove me into an early and drawn out leg workout.

post workout weight: 177.8 at 3.3k cals today so far. another 1200 at least planned for the rest of the night.

    tentative macros today

    C 601
    F 129
    P 239

    Shake: 1.5 scoops Pure Amino
1 serving Shock Therapy (the sweats!)
    5g creatine monohydrate
    ~2.5L water

    Squats Hams to Calves

    bar x 10
    135 x 5
    225 x 5
    235 x 5
    245 x 5
    245 x 5
    255 x 3 (1 forced rep)
    135 x 10

    RDL

    135 x 8
    225 x 8
    315 x 5

    Glute Ham Raise

    BW x 12
    BW x 8
    BW x 5

    Prone Leg Curl

    80 x 12
    80 x 12
    80 x 12

    Walking Lunges

    80 x 24 (12/leg)
    80 x 24
    80 x 24

    Leg Extensions

    130 x 12
    130 x 12

    Single Leg

    50 x 20/leg
    50 x 20

    notes:

about 1:30-2:00 workout duration, normally my leg workouts last :45-1:00, but the endurance factor didnt really catch up to me that much
    thankfully (amino power)
it was more the muscle fatigue. I could hardly bodyweight curl my leg by the end.

I think I'll start my endocrine log early, as I'm more worried tonight will be another insomniac session if I dont. I could use a good night of sleep for recovery mentally and physically after that beating.

Your workouts are great! Nice PR! Glad you are enjoying the product. You must like water "as is" Otherwise I imagine you would be making sure it tasted like "Fruit Punch" etc..lol I am a water junkie, so more power to ya if you like the diluted taste of the amino

yup haha im a huge water junkie too. besides milk (cals + protein), its all I drink. But it's nice to get a little flavor break every now and then, this surely suffices.

    here it is!

    ---------
    Endocrine 5 day Trial!

    endocrine day 1
Now I figured with a product there may be a lot of different variables that go into its effectiveness, so I tried my best to put as much of my daily information as I could, to see how its effects change based on my day/schedule.

    workout day? yes
    soreness level: 7.5/10
sleep time: ~1:30am (college life )
    wake up time 9:00am

    Diet
    daily cals: 4070
    578 carb
    159 fat
    187 protein

This. Knocked. Me. Out. It felt great. Normally my nights are spent watching episodes of The Walking Dead until I fall asleep mid-episode with headphones in ear (serious). I slept like a damn baby.

My soreness is still a solid 6-7 in my legs, however my upper body feels nicely recovered. Looking forward to another night of this, however I have much studying to do for a less than exciting physics exam. Stress on blast, and need to be up and ready for 9am classes. Work your magic Endocrine!

judging by your WO's I can see where you would still be sore. i think the more you are on the Endo, you will see that soreness diminish.

yeah I figured, because after day 2, I still felt a little soreness, but I was able to get in really solid Sumo Deads today!

    -----------

    Endocrine Day 2
    workout day? no
    soreness level: 7/10
sleep time: ~2:00am (on that late night study grind!)
    wake up time 9:00am

    Diet
    daily cals: 5058
    626 (cali rep!) carb
    178 (tehe) fat
    241 protein

Studying definitely got me worn out mentally, so I would have easily been knocked out cold had I just set my head down, but funny enough my sleep getting cut to 7 hours, I woke up (alarm set for 8:55) hit the 5 minute snoozer, and woke up at 8:58 before my snooze alarm went off (feeling good!). That doesn't happen haha. Works well for me!

soreness was at about a 5 today. Decided to hit back, use a preworkout stimulant to get a little extra blood flowing and reduce the soreness a little. Feelsgoodman.

    Back Day! MadCow Mooo!

yeah sorry guys. im not sticking to my planned routine schedule AT ALL. only thing i'm doing right is hitting my deads once a week and my squats twice. the shoulders and chest days are totally random :/ strength is going up so that's nice!

    post workout weight: 180 baby

    Shake: consumed intra/post
1.5 scoops Pure Amino (this stuff is lasting! thanks for not making your product have like... 10 servings like I've seen before)
    0 g creatine. I forgot, im a dope.
2 scoops neurocore (consumed separately 10 minutes preworkout)
    ~2L water

    Sumo Deadlift
    45 x 5
    135 x 5
    225 x 5 (too lazy to put on 220... i know)
    240 x 5
    260 x 5
    280 x 5
    300 x 5

really happy with my form and explosive power on these sumos today. I felt like RPE was at about 6 or 7. Ready to start goin hard!

    Neutral grip (close) Lat Pulldown
    140 x 8
    160 x 8
    180 x 8
    200 x 8

RPE hitting solid 9-10 on 7th and 8th rep of last set.

    Single Arm Hammer Strength Row
    90 x 15
    135 x 12
    180 x 8

    Seated Face Pulls
    65 x 15
    80 x 15
    87.5 x 15
    95 x 12 (whole stack)

    Single Arm Lat Pulldown
    50 x 15
    70 x 15
    70 x 13

    Notes
Wore the golds stringer top today in honor of getting back to 180.
Felt incredibly strong, my intensity was noticeably higher, cut my rest time down, and my recovery was keeping up nicely with the changes.
Still have about half of the container of aminos left, looking forward to more strong and long workouts

"make love to your workout, nice and slow, and lots of sets" -Swiss Love

Steve Kleva. Why I started sumo deadlifting. Sick physique, phenomenal quads. Do want.

    Shouldies

    weight: 177

    shake: 1.5 scoops Pure Amino
0 g creatine (im helpless lol)
2 scoops neurocore consumed preworkout ~20 minutes
    ~2L water

Note: dont leave any of the pure amino in those water bottles! it leaves a lovely odor haha. easy to clean out unlike most protein odors, but surprised me none-the-less

    diet: 5067 cals

    499 carbs
    199 fat
    263 protein

my maintenance calories are apparently ridiculous.

    Notes:

felt fantastic today. I'm still defeated from this workout, I'll need to sip on those aminos the rest of the night to bring my energy back up to human levels.

Forgot to take my endocrine igf last night (it was a late night-bar kinda night here in college town :/)
surprised to have no hangover or any sort of inhibited workout this early afternoon.

gotta manage fitness and fun (social-life). as long as neither of them are taken to an extreme as to inhibit one another, I think its A-OK.
