Michele Gibson, age 58, a resident of Wayne and formerly of Belleville, died unexpectedly due to complications from thyroid cancer. Many will remember Michele as Belleville's "Flower Lady". Michele tended the flower beds and hanging flowers that everyone admired for years. Michele recently worked as a Peer Support taking great pride in helping those in need. No matter how ill she was from chemotherapy and radiation she never failed to show up for work when she should have been at home resting. Michele would say, "Someone might need me today."

Michele leaves behind three children, Charles Lawrence, Justin Pierson and Saranda (Adam) Silvenis; four grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Lawrence; Sebastian Hamilton and Slayton Silvenis; brothers, Roger, Kevin (Kate) Gibson; sister, Pamela Adams of Florida; extended family and friends. She also leaves behind her two loyal dogs who never left her side, Chica and Louie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Douglas (Madline) Gibson.
A memorial service will held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 28680 Cherry Hill Rd, Garden City, MI 48135 at 3 p.m. Cremation rites were accorded.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to:
