“…Very rustic accommodations and inconvenient location. While this retreat center is only a short distance off highway 128, the road quickly turns unpaved and very rutted. If you drive a low clearance vehicle, proceed with extreme caution! Especially with all the rains this winter, there are large mud pits that need to be avoided. Additionally, the private road is unlit, so navigating back to the retreat after dinner proved challenging. The Circle cottage (one of a handful of their cottages with "amenities") was very basic - came with bedding and hand towels for the kitchen sink. There is no sink in the bathroom, and you must bring your own soaps and bath towels. For the price, I was expecting more. The most unfortunate part is their mattress situation. They are very old and uncomfortable, which made for an unrestful retreat. I wanted to like the space - it's right next to the river and surrounded by beautiful countryside! Unfortunately, the accommodations require some upgrading.…

“…The cozy circle cabin at Rivers Bend was exactly what we were looking for a peaceful escape to nature from SF! We enjoyed our porch and watching the acorn woodpeckers hide their acorns and deer frolic on the lawn. The little wood burning stove warmed the cabin right up. The hosts were nice and checking in and out was a breeze. We will look forward to returning again some day soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay!…
