AA #1367 Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is training for non-mental health professionals on how to recognize and deal with students, parents and co-workers who might be exhibiting symptoms of a mental disorder. YMHFA aligns with ISBE social emotional learning standards and with the readiness and emergency management phase: prevention and mitigation. Just as CPR training helps a lay person without medical training assists an individual who is not breathing, mental health first aid training is designed to give skills necessary for school staff to assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Please be advised that there is pre-work associated with this academy that will be issued on July 16th, and must be completed by July 22nd - otherwise you will not be able to attend on July 24th. -Bring your laptop to complete the course onsite. -There is pre-work before the day of attendance. -ROE #17 will validate parking for the Lincoln Parking Deck. -Lunch will be provided.

AA #2001- Illinois Performance Evaluation - Teacher Evaluation Training (Initial)
This two-day academy (August 4th and 5th) is designed for individuals who are seeking initial training qualification for teacher evaluation. This academy aligns to the competencies for Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b). **Please be advised that this administrator academy has pre-work requirements associated with it. You will not receive the pre-work assignments until the week before your workshop. The pre-work assignments will take you several hours to complete and you will be advised to complete them in one sitting. The pre-work assignments will be due 2-3 days before your workshop. Therefore, you are advised to set aside time to dedicate to completing this work during the week prior to your academy. This the initial teacher evaluation academy.

AA #4050- Evaluator Initial Training and Retraining for Principals and Assistant Principals
This is two-day academy- September 4th and 5th Beginning July 1, 2024, AA #4050 is the Administrator Academy required to fulfill the Initial and/or Refresher training requirement for those who wish to obtain the credential to evaluate Principals and Assistant Principals, or for those that already have the credential and need to refresh to retain the credential. It is a 2-day in-person Academy. All participants (Initial and Refresher) are required to complete and submit the pre-work at least three (3) days prior to the workshop.

AA #1801: Gathering Evidence During Observations and Conferencing Using The Danielson Mode
This course will allow participants to learn effective skills and strategies for using Charlotte Danielson’s Frameworks in a summative setting in order to more effectively: 1. Identify evidence at the component/element level during formal and informal observations; 2. Use evidence to effectively rate staff on the levels of performance for each domain; 3. Acquire strategies to support effective collaborative conferencing around formal and informal observations; and 4. Learn techniques, strategies, and protocols to use when conferencing with staff about professional development. Course participants will apply these new skills and strategies to a case study of professional practice as it relates to their work in the teacher appraisal system.
