That person used the quotes on a daily basis to leave the negative behind and jump start their day. They in turn have payed the book forward to a relative stuck in a rut and after reading the book found the inspiration to start writing again. Every salesperson has highs. Every salesperson has lows. And at some point (or many points), every salesperson needs FIRING UP! That is what makes this terrific book of quotes a necessary tool for anyone in sales. (And really, who among us isn't a salesperson, in some fashion or another?) Whether you are a salesperson in need of a little boost, a sales manager looking to rev up the team, or a CEO who wants the sales department to know you understand the job isn't always self-motivating, this is the perfect tool to add to the sales arsenal. In addition to having a stellar collection of interesting, thought-provoking and inspiring quotes, this book is incredibly attractive. Some of my favorite gifts (and those that I always keep and remember) have been books. And books are also one of my favorite items to give away. But it has to be a real looker in order for it to feel like a special gift. Am I right? FIRED UP! SELLING, with its crisp black cover punctuated with pops of red and silver really stands out. It's sharp and sophisticated. It looks great on the corner of a desk or table where everyone who sees it picks it up and looks through it….always spotting a "good one" and reading it aloud. The FIRED UP! SELLING feels like more than a book. It's an experience. It's nice to hold, easy (and sturdy enough) to take along in a bag to meetings or on travel, and it's got THREE silky ribbons for you to keep the place of some of your favorite quotes, or to mark your spot. I can't say enough great things about this book. If you are looking for corporate gift for employees, clients or vendors, a practical tool to fire someone up or to fire up your meetings, or a gift for a graduate or someone embarking on a new job or career, I'm confident any recipient will treasure this book. Just be sure to buy a copy for yourself as well. It's definitely a keeper!

This is an EXTREMELY cool book of motivational quotes that I highly recommend for three reasons:

1) These aren't the same 50 quotes you've read over and over again; you will be delighted with every turn of page.
2) The design is gorgeous. Seriously - don't skip the hardcover and go straight to the digital copy.
3) It makes a great gift of thanks and encouragement to others.
I will say, too, I don't think it's strictly a book for sellers... it's ideal for anyone in marketing, management, entrepreneurship, education, or anyone who appreciates a well-curated book of unusual-but-spot-on motivational quotes.
(While I have never met the author/editor, I am familiar with him, but I paid full price for this book and was not asked to recommend it. I just think it's that good.)
