Tell us about your success journey as a sober conscious coach. How everything started Mr. Costa?

In 2014, I was working with a lawyers son who was in 10 rehabs in 10 years and never had 30 days sober. He suggested that I become a Sober Coach because when he had more then 6 months with me, he said “ I can hear you and I feel safe and comfortable around you. That’s what a Sober Coach does.

How to you help someone dealing with addictions? What is the ultimate secret to your AAA System?

There is a difference between “I AM THIS” (Disempowering based on the past) and “I AM BEING THIS” (Empowering Way of Being). Q. “I AM THIS” is who I am forever. For example, when you hear someone saying “I am an addict…”, This expression is bringing the past into the present. In other words, this person is unstuck. While, “I AM BEING THIS”is who I am at this moment here and now. I coach my clients to help themselves to choose powerfully who they want to be being here and now. For example, an empowered individual with my AAA Coaching, would say “I used to be an addict. Now I am a human being…Being Sober.

Here’s the bottom line, we all have a choice to make right now. If you ask yourself “Is there a addiction problem right now?”, you will realize that there is nothing there. There is no problem right now. Now is where you always been, now is the present, and we will always be in the now. The present of now is the scariest place to be but once you get it, it is so effortlessly and joy. 90% of people dealing with addictions is because they are choosing consciously or unconsciously as “I AM THIS” rather than “I AM BEING THIS”. My mission is to empower them with “I AM BEING THIS”. That’s what sober conscious coaching is all about in three simple words “AWAKE, AWARE, AND ALLOW”

What do you do for your well-being?

I work on the power of pause by walking on the beach, meditating, going to the movies. These are things that help me recharge my battery and being present in the moment. The gift is always in the present of the moment.

Certified from UCLA in Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counseling (CAADAC Certified), and experienced in the field of both Sober Coaching and Program Education Counseling, Damian specializes in integrating humor into recovery plans for male individuals and groups. His up-beat style and light-hearted approach makes clients feel comfortable immediately. Over 18 years in the program, Damian has the empathy and clarity to connect with his clients and elevate them out of their current stagnation. Damian works closely with clients to find the appropriate tools to help them grasp the art of responding in the moment, rather than reacting emotionally to life’s challenges (for example the power of pause). Using his New York charisma, straight talk, and humor, Damian teaches clients to be constructive with a life of ease, rather than to be destructive with a life of dis-ease.     MATHEMATICIAN JOSE ANGEL MANAIZA, JR. Former Child Star in La Ceiba, Honduras. Jose Angel Manaiza Jr. is known as “The Tutor to The Stars” from Malibu to Beverly Hills.

Hollis, Michelle Obama, Dame Mabel Katz, Laura Bush and Arianna Huffington. He is official biographer of Garifuna Writer & Historian Santos Centeno Garcia. Mr. Manaiza is a professional speechwriter who has written over 6000 speech scripts to CEOs, world leaders, and professional speakers. His famous workshop entitled "Presidential Speechwrititng" has helped many on how to write speeches.
