#SayHerMagicMatters: Black & Brown Girls and Femmes Say No to Incarceration!
Hello, Thank you for choosing to join us on Saturday, March 9 from 9 AM - 6 PM. We're so excited to bring our beloved community together to learn, create, heal, and envision a better future for Black and Brown girls, femmes, and gender-expansive youth!

NOTE TO ADULTS: This is not the registration form for Beyond the Bars, use this link here: http://centerforjustice.columbia.edu/2019/02/18/beyond-bars-2019-register-now/

Beyond the Bars is an annual justice conference hosted by the Center for Justice at Columbia University. This year's programming theme "Until She's Free" will focus on both the incarceration and criminalization of women and girls themselves as well as of their families and communities.

S.O.U.L. Sisters Leadership Collective is a grassroots nonprofit focused on mobilizing girls and femmes to disrupt cycles of poverty, oppression, and violence. We provide leadership development programming with a focus on serving systems-involved Black and Brown girls and femmes.

Programming for the summit will include small group story sharing, workshops on the pipelines to prison, and a variety of arts-based community building activities. We strongly encourage Black and Brown girls and femmes between the ages of 13 - 18 who have been impacted by mass incarceration and/or are interested in youth activism to attend. Peer and adult allies are also welcome to join!

If you have any questions or concerns about the event, please contact NYC Program Manager Jamy Drapeza at jamy@soulsistersleadership.org or at (914) 348 - 1328 or NYC MSW Intern Kira Cabland-Pearson at kira@soulsistersleadership.org.

Space is limited, please register ASAP!

A proud project of Beyond the Bars 2019: 9th Annual Justice Conference at Columbia University.
