Recently cleaned Vic Fiscal offered by '2007sibir' for $1250

Post by GlenStephens »

Image....Image

Purchased by '2007sibir' for $US150 pen cancelled on March 20.

'2007sibir' then runs the IDENTICAL stamp to ebay Auction himself a week or so later (still 2 days to go on that) - after bleaching the living daylights out of it, and trying to scrub away the fiscal pen cancel - quite un-successfully as you can see. (This is HIS scan above of the resultant terrible mess - unaltered by me!)

New starting price $A1250 - claimed to be "unhinged - and claimed to have a Cat value as mint of $8,150. .

It magically appears to have been regummed in the same 10 days period since he bought it.

(As a reference point, these massive stamps sell for around $250 each in the real market when in top condition, with no pinholes - I have the set of 5 right now on offer - £5-£9, which includes this £6 Blue - https://www.glenstephens.com/rarity" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

Sadly, a waste of time I'd say.

A number of leading dealers and collectors have done so in the past.

One of Australia's leading dealers has been in communication with him for months over identical mangled stamps, pointing out they are clearly faked and bleached and cleaned etc.

One was re this piece de resistance that sold on ebay for $355 - same vendor 2007sibir

Bleached to within an inch of its life as all can see. The idiot bidders on these type of things need to buy some literature. Kellow's book says only ONE unused copy is recorded in private hands. (And some doubt that is genuine mint anyway.)

The cost of the superb Kellow book is a fraction of what these dills bid on this rubbish.

Mod - Dead link deleted

35/- SHILLING VICTORIA STAMP DUTY 1884 IN NICE CONDITION WITH LIGHT GUM UNHINGED.

NOTE: Observe & Reverse Side seems flawless with NO PINHOLES.

SG245 Watermark Upright Perf.13 - Very High Cat. Value : $ 8,750.00

MUST BE WORTH SOMETHING OF TREMENDOUS VALUE IN THE NEARBY FUTURE FOR THIS STAMP IN SUCH REASONABLE CONDITION.

To the RIGHT of this hideous mess is the same stamp which **ONLY** comes fiscally used and only in a consistent deep purple shade, that I sold last year .. in the CORRECT colour! I stress the stamp photo on left is un-retouched by me in any way and is taken off the ebay lot.

Some of these ebay bidders do seem to have had major brain bypasses, they really do .. why anyone would bid even $10 on this ugly dog is beyond me. Maybe the buyer ianwar61 will now ask for a refund?

As he's chosen not to reply since I re-sent the link, here's his first reply:

HI,MY FAMILY HAVE BEEN INVOLVED WITH COLLECTING STAMPS & COINS FOR OVER 50 YEARS. WE HAVE TRIED TO PURCHASE THE MOST RARE STAMPS THAT WE COULD AFFORD AT THE TIME & ESPECIALLY THE OLD STATE STAMPS THAT WE ARE SELLING ON EBAY.
WE HAVE THE STAMPS CHECKED THOROUGHLY USING THE ULTRA VIOLET RAY LIGHT TO ENSURE THAT ANY HAND CANCELLATIONS ARE NOT ON THE MINT STAMPS THAT ARE PUT ON SALE. ANY HAND CANCELLATIONS ARE EASILY DETECTED AS THEY SHOW UP EVEN FROM THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE STAMP. ALSO IF THE STAMP HAS BEEN CLEANED THEY ARE EASILY DETECTED.
THE STAMPS THAT WE SELL ARE MAINLY THE ONES WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE OFF.
ALSO WE TRY TO EXHIBIT A USED COPY FOR COMPARISON PURPOSES.
WE THOUGHT THAT WE ASK A REASONABLE PRICE AS A MUCH HIGHER PRICE COULD BE OBTAINED IN AUCTION HOUSES. ALSO WE THOUGHT ABOUT GET A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY BUT THIS WOULD INCREASE THE PRICE FURTHER. ALSO, THEY DO NOT GIVE A GUARANTEE THAT THE STAMP WILL BE RETURNED IN GOOD ORDER, AS THEY IMMERSE THE STAMPS IN WATER.
YOUR MESSAGE TO READ THE EMAIL No. DOES NOT REGISTER. ARE YOU SURE IT IS WORDED CORRECTLY?
PLEASE CHECK AS WE ARE INTERESTED TO KNOW ANY INFO ON STATE STAMPS.

I've been watching this seller for awhile also and i am amazed that people are buying these items that are obviously cleaned.

He purchased a pen cancelled high value stamp from me a couple of weeks ago and i've been waiting to see if it is altered and reoffered also.

One of my customers asked if i had any mint high value stamp duty stamps of Victoria so i looked up her purchases and she had been buying from this seller.

I advised her to be very careful as all these items offered on ebay are likely cleaned and regummed.

I haven't heard back from her but i also haven't seen her win any of his items again for a while.{ you can't see whos bidding anymore so you can't warn people you know that they might be making a mistake}

I hope she has taken my advice as she had spent a lot of money with 2007sibir on these cleaned stamps.

Hopefully he will be stopped soon but someone else will just take his place as we often see.

Here's his reply. If anyone can make sense of it, well done!

"THANKS FOR LETTING ME KNOW THE FEELINGS OF THIS SELLER. I HAVE REALISED WHY HE WAS UPSETWITH THESE TWO 6 POUND STAMPS. APPARENTLY HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO SELL SIMILAR STAMPS WITHOUT MUCH SUCCESS & HE IS UPSET THAT I AM ASKING MORE THAN HIS ASKING PRICE. THESE 2 STAMPS HAVE BEEN IN OUR FAMILY ALBUM FOR A LONG TIME & THE FLAWS ON THEM ARE DESCRIBED ON THE ADVERT. HOWEVER, HE HAS NOW DEFAMED MY 99.4% FEEDBACK RECORD & EBAY WILL BE TAKING ACTION AGAINST HIM IN DUE COURSE.
THE STAMPS & OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE PLACED FOR SALE, ARE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY POSSIBLE. WE HOPE TO BRING MORE INTEREST & MORE CLIENTELINTO THIS PART OF EBAY. BEST REGARDS FROM ALEX.

This information is not new - I have been in touch with the seller over several months, commenting directly to him on many of the stamps being sold that I believe are both cleaned and regummed.

Yet he continues to offer them as 'MUH'. In a number of cases, the stamps offered are also the post 1901 reprints.

In some cases, no authenticated genuine mint example is recorded, and in other cases the only example(s) reported are of doubtful authenticity at best. In others, there might be 2-5 known and I have seen most if not all of them in the flesh over the years - and the stamps being sold on eBay are not amongst those known to those who follow such things!

I have made the seller well aware of such issues on numerous occasions, yet he continues to offer stamps of highly doubtful status on eBay, and without recognised certificates. In terms of value, the cost of obtaining certificates is a small price to pay if they prove genuine - certainly only a fraction of the extra price that they should achieve!

Whilst the prime responsibility is with the seller, the silly buyers of such items should also be partly accountable. 'If it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is'. At whatever time the buyers of such stamps sell, they will either need to find a replacement 'bunny' or take big losses. More than likely it will be the latter.

Indeed, as I have written in at least one email, if I were satisfied that the stamps were genuine MUH, I have buyers at full SG catalogue and in most cases, well above! The fact that I have not bid on these items says it all.

I've sent him this:

"Alex,

I assume you have read the link I directed you to? If so, you should accept that you've been caught out. This stamp was purchased by you 2 weeks ago, subsequently cleaned and regummed.

I will be happy to report this item to Ebay as a fake should the listing not be taken down."

Sherro .. well done.

David this "proof" looks to be the right hand part of one of those PHILAS type postcards on the 1980 era to me? You might recall the one I mean with a facsimile red postmark.

The totally clueless buyer of that - ianwar61 - is the dill who bought the 35/- above - DESPITE the on-lot questions that would make even a 3 year old steer away from this.

He is either the world's most dopey ebayer - or is a shill bidder for 2007sibir - I have not spent any time seeing what other transactions they might have had together.

Maybe someone can send ianwar61 this thread link and he can chime in with his view?

Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Hi,can you tell me if there is any watermark? If so what it is.My thanks, ian. Apr-02-08

A: HI IAN, I HAD A CLOSE LOOK FOR WATERMARK BUT COULD NOT FIND ANY. THE PRINT PAPER DURING THOSE DAYS DID NOT HAVE W/M OTHERWISE THEY WOULD BE NOTED IN THE SG CAT. REGARDS FROM ALEX

Q: how exactly did you come up with the current value at 35k , before checking if it is genuine or not ? Peter Apr-02-08

A: HI PETER, THIS STAMP IS ONE OF THE RAREST PRINTED IN NSW WITH SG2 CAT. $15K APPROX. THE DIE PRINTS ARE EVEN MUCH RARER & ARE WORTH OVER DOUBLE IN AUCTION HOUSES IN UK. I HAVE INDICATED THAT IF A SPECIALIST COLLECTOR WANTS TO EVALUATE THIS STAMP HE CAN BID FOR IT AT STARTING PRICE OF $55.00 WHICH I THINK IS A REASONABLE RISK TO TAKE. WHEN I BOUGHT IT I WAS ADVISED THAT IT COULD BE A DIE PRINT, WHICH IS VERY SIMILAR DIE PRINTS THAT I ALREADY HAVE. I HOPE THAT IT MAY BE A GOOD INVESTMENT ON SUCH AN ITEM. REGARDS FROM ALEX

Q: die print?? Don't think so. This is a poor reproduction in a single colour and the red marks are in fact a postmark. Mar-29-08

A: HI, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. PLEASE VIEW THE SUPER-SIZED SCAN & YOU WILL SEE THAT THE POSTMARKS ARE PART OF THE PRINTING PROCESS USED IN DIE PRINTING & NOT A SEPARATE PO CANCELATION.PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU FIND ANY FURTHER INFO. BEST REGARDS FROM ALEX

I contacted the buyer yesterday and told him what I thought of the item. He replied that he is going to send it to an expert, I told him not to bother as there was not a snowflakes hope in Hell that it was genuine,

I can't recall the Philas item but I rarely look twice at modern souvenir cards,

Funny he should mention "mint" £10's .. as luckily for the bunnies he HAS one for sale right now for "only" $1650.

Mod - Dead link deleted

Let's hope he cancels that sale too, and sends it to an Expert.

Gee that Simon Dunkerley fellow above issues Independent Certificates .. now there is an idea Alex - remove this one too and get a Certificate .. why not do that if your 100 year old mother does not object?.

The cleaned off fiscal cancel on the right hand "1" is clearly evident to me, that goes through the lower part of the ) and further to the right, through the DS of Pounds.

Put your previous UV light over that and see what you see.

But what would I know?

Something I really really dont understand-

-he has been doing significant fraudulant activity for a long time,

-has been personally explained and warned many times by 2 philatelic experts and several concerned individuals,

-and has been given links here, with our specific information.

-his replies to questions indicate he will not change despite pulling these 2 items.

Why is he still here and not in court with the police or ebay?

Stampboards and members are absolutely brilliant at identification, validation, and data collection of Philatelic Fraud
But that is worth nothing if it is left up to the perpertrators to self manage It becomes a cycle of disappear and reappear with a different name, and the hardwork starts again.

A completely self defeating process and all that is really achieved is that the criminal has be educated as to his problems, to monitor this board for his progress and will be cleverer and harder to identify next time.

Time to move to the next level :?:

Put these guys (vtoledo20 included) into the Fraud Squad and court. Get them off the net. Make a stand. Get convictions.
Time Do Something
I apoligise in advance to anyone offended by my comments - that is not my intention as everyone has done an outstandingand proffessional job. But Im totally frustrated and angry that these people are getting away scot free to reoffend.

You sum it up well grovyk.

I could be wrong here, but I have a funny feeling that 2007sibir might have today seen the error of his ways.

I remind members we had another long thread on another seller of fakes on ebay - philmandog - who was UK based.

https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=2655

We exposed a LOT of these fakes. HUNDREDS of fake cancels (and overprints) on stamps worth much more used than mint.

Guess what .. I am not aware he has sold a fake cancel since we exposed him.

He seem to realise that he could make money on ebay selling LEGIT material and not attract heat, or the Fraud Sqaud.

Now this seller 2007sibir so far appears to have been a combination of 2 things.

1. Absolutely genuinely clueless about stamps

2. Been very happy to clean off fiscal cancels, re-gum them, and flog them to the bunnies.

Point #1 sadly is something only time and application will rectify - it ever.

Point #2 is something we can do something about. We caught him red-handed with the £6 above.

Now this seller DOES now and again offer things that clearly have not been fiddled with, or messed with, that actually ARE decent value like this one:

https://cgi.ebay.com.au/NSW-8-FU-X-KGV-HEADS-LONG-BI-COLOURED ... 0242628440

Image

Because he is so totally clueless, he presumably had no idea the £1 SWINE DUTY overprint is rare - even fiscal used and is Cat £75 thus in Barefoot. A superb looking and apparently unused copy looking like this would be worth a lot more.

So if you can grab this for anything like today's $68 you have a bargain, and more important 2007sibir has not bleached, treated or fiddled with this lot as far as I can see. So he is making a 100% legit sale - and getting good money for it.

Let's hope we see a LOT more lots like that from this seller.

I can't say why, but I think we might see more of that legit material from him, and less of the cleaned fiscals and fakes offered.

Only time will tell.

Hope I am right here. :)

Clearly something is afoot with this seller but, unless there is something about the cleaning/bleaching process I'm not aware of, the above two stamps don't look remotely similar to me.

The left hand margin on the top stamp is huge but on the bottom stamp it touches the perfs? The bottom margin on the top stamps touches the perfs but on the bottom stamp it is much larger

I would suggest the top stamp possibly has been cleaned but it definitely isnt the new improved whiter version of the pen cancelled stamp below it

On the £6 fiscal, there is still part of the pen cancel near the "T" in "STAMP DUTY" but he has bleached out most of the pink paper.

The patient clearly died at the stamp doctor.

Wish there were "Right To Life" campaigns for stamps.

This stamp has an overall PINK background as one can see from the stamp he bought.

How on earth they think scrubbing and bleaching all the basic paper colour away IMPROVES the value I'll never know!

If he paid $150, he has ended up with a $20 space-filler aftering wasting an hour doing it. Some real stamp genius at work here.

I haven't done that as that is not my area although blind freddie can see it is not genuine!

But I have alerted him on about a dozen occasions of stamps that he has offered that I believe are cleaned and regummed. That is something that I would never do lightly nor without very good reason. Indeed, the evidence could not be much stronger!

So he is well aware of problems with some if not many of his offerings. But time and again has refused to either change descriptions (and starting prices) or delete items.

I have just written a 4,700+ word paper on this topic with many pics etc and at some future time will be able to provide a link on this site to it so that readers can have an ongoing reference to relate to.

As of today eBay have been informed of the extent of what is going on in regard to this - I sent the message myself so I know it has been done.

I will keep you posted.

Here is another misrepresentation by 2007sibir.

Mod - Dead link deleted

Stamp is not the rare black brown, but the common violet. He actually mentions it is perf 12 which is impossible for the black brown.

There appears to be a consistent effort to deceive in this guy's offerings.

Thanks Roly

you'll have to tell me sometime how you do that.

Why hasn't this 2007sibir been pulled from eBay?

Were it not for the obvious cleansing of stamps, the sellers auction descriptions might be construed as clueless.

As has been mentioned before, they are writing descriptions in order to mislead the buyers.

In the case of the seahorses, they are pricing the stamps at about what my (old) SG catalog lists them at, which is way above what anyone would pay for the legitimate item.

SG lists both the 1913 and 1934 stamps as image 109.

In relation to the fake 10¢ Washington noted several times above, listed below are the questions and comments made by a number of eBayer's and the replies made by the seller ... some of them make amusing reading; however, the answers given are generally a pretty sad case ...

These are all copied word for word from the question and answer section of the listing as of 1.35am (E.S.T.) on 11th May 2008. They are in order from most recent to first exactly as listed on the eBay site - the one at the top being from me when I emailed him last night (please excuse the typos as I had been up for about 40 hours straight when I sent the email to him).

His reply to my email is very typical of replies I have received in the past over cleaned and regummed Victorian postal fiscal stamps that this seller has offered on eBay. i.e. he generally avoids the issues and merely offers a refund if the buyer is not happy. Unfortunately my experience shows that the majority of buyers of many stamps on eBay just would not know if the stamp is correctly described or not - making the refund more shallow than it might at first appear. And particularly so when you consider that the seller has been made well aware of the situation on such items and continues to list them.

If he were to include an information sheet stating something along these lines with every lot that he receives genuine negative advice from specialists on: 'I/We have been advised that this stamp is (almost certainly) a forgery or a fake or a cleaned regum, etc. ... we encourage you to send it off to ... in order to get a professional opinion or a recognised certificate and if it comes back negative we will refund the full purchase price, all postage and expertising fees, plus any other associated costs' ... then he might have covered himself... :D However, the better options would be to either correct the description and starting price while the listing is still current, or to completely take the item off. But, don't hold your breath.

Questions from other members : 1847 G/WASHINGTON BLACK 10c USA + CV>$2,000 Nice FU.
Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Even though USA stamps are not my field not expertise, it is pretty obvious that this stamp IS a forgery and that those who really know more than me on this stamp clearly agree. Anyone might like to think that it could be genuine or even worth a reasonable fraction of a genuine example, however, that is complete fantasy. Apart from items proven to eminate from Postal archives or knowen to have once been in famous colections, most provenances do not prove anything about an items authenticity! - and that is a fact of life! May-09-08
A: HI, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS. THIS STAMP HAS HAD PLENTY OF INTERESTING OPINIONS, CRITICISM ,ETC AND HAS DRAWN A LOT OF ATTENTION WHICH ALL GOOD NEWS ON THIS PART OF EBAYS STAMP SECTION. ALL I CAN STATE IS THAT IF THE WINNIG BIDDER IS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ITEM, THAT THE MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED PLUS THE POSTAGE. THIS MESSAGE POSTED.

Q: He who comes on ebay to shop and thinks he is an expert on stamps,-ok you think you know, but ask an expert and he will tell you to bring the item over to heve a look at it,he is not going to tell you to put it on ebay so he can see it on a photo as we do here, soooooo its a fear game here just the seller to be honest as (2007Sibir)he is more then that,he told you if youre not happy he will take it back,so what is your broblem, just dont bid,i have been biding here on 2007Sibir site for a long time now,and i have won top items here CV 5-7-$10.000-times cheaper then the CV, and not fakes,so y dont you leave this man to do of what he has been doing so far,and a good job i might add ,you as an expert look for people on ebay who dont know much about stamps, some of them dont know the#SG,or#Scts C.No.yet you bid as i do and many will tell you the same,so what do you tell them??,so Take it easy mate its not war, people like you can put top sellers off eBay,Regards,Michael,S,1. May-07-08
A: HI MICHAEL, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS AND SUPPORT.

Q: Only the Sperati forgeries of this design are worth anything, because they are so well done. This is one of the crudest of the many fakes, nearly all of which are worthless. I don't know which "experts" have stated that this is real, but they should go back to opining on beanie babies and other such high end collectibles before they hurt themselves. I do commend you, though, for putting all these comments on the lot. In my opinion, you are honest, but obviously not knowledgeable in stamps. And you don't have to leave ebay. As long as you publish the comments sent to like you have done and have a liberal return policy, there is nothing wrong with what you are doing. If we banished every seller who misidentified stamps on ebay, nearly everyone would have to leave, including the big names. Good luck, George Kopecky May-07-08
A: HI GEORGE, THANKS FOR YOUR KIND ADVISE.

Q: This is clearly a forgery or facsimile. I hope that you will not reply that you will 'check with your experts' because if you actually need to , you yourself are unqualified to even think of selling philatelic material on Ebay and you should seriously consider getting off ebay. May-06-08
A: HI MIKE, I AM NO EXPERT ON USA STAMPS. I'M ONLY TRYING TO SELL THE STAMPS WE COLLECTED TOGETHER WITH MY SICK 93 YE3AR OLD MUM. IF THIS STAMP IS A FORGERY IT WILL BE WORTH MORE THAN THE CAT. VALUE AS STATED UNDER INFO WEB ON USA STAMPS. THE WINNING BIDDER CAN CHECK THE STAMP & IF HE IS NOT SATISFIED WITH IT, A FULL REFUND PLUS POSTAGE WILL BE GIVEN. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU SAY THAT I HAVE TO GET OFF EBAY? PLEASE READ ALL THE COMMENTS ON THIS STAMP AS POSTED.

Q: Hi: This is a very crude fake. It is irrelevant how long you have had it. Here is the award-winning site of Roger Kirby, where you can verify it easily for yourself: https://www.theswedishtiger.com/usstamps/ You can also do a search on ebay-US itself for USA #1 and compare the sharp design of the ones available to this one. The differences are obvious. Regards, George Kopecky, Atlanta GA USA May-04-08
A: HI GEORGE, THANKS FOR YOUR OPINION, BUT I HAD OTHERS STAMP SPECIALISTS TO INSPECT THE SCAN & THEY CANNOT BE SURE IF THIS STAMP IS A FAKE. eg. REFER TO POSTED QUESTION No, 2 also if it is a fake it could be worth a lot more as noted on the USA web site. HOWEVER IF THE WINNING BUYER OF THIS STAMP IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS STAMP , A FULL REFUND WILL BE GIVEN. nb. THIS RESPONSE WILL BE POSTED FOR BUYERS TO READ BEFORE THE FINAL BIDDING,

Q: I noticed someone has said that this is a fake, that's his opinion-i dont think it is,i have made a bid on this, and if im not happy i know you will take it back-but if you like you can take it out for any other reason its ok--Regards,Michael.S.1 May-02-08
A: HI MICHAEL, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT. I HAVE CHECKED THE USA WEB & APPARENTLY FAKE STAMPS OF THIS 10C BLACK IS WORTH EVEN MORE THAN THE ISSUED STAMP. I WILL LEAVE IT ON EBAY AND WILL REVIEW ANY FURTHER OPINIONS BY OTHERS. REGARDS FROM ALEX

Q: The stamp scanned is an obvious fake. I suggest that you withdraw it before I report it. Best, Alex R May-01-08
A: HI, THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERN, BUT HOW CAN YOU DETERMINE IT AS A FAKE ? IT HAS BEEN IN OUR FAMILY ALBUM FOR OVER 40 YEARS. IT ALSO HAS A GOOD POSTAL CANCELLATION ON IT. REGARDS FROM ALEX

(End of Q and A section on eBay).

What do stampboard readers think of this? Forget 'Funniest home videos' - maybe we should start a section on 'Funniest questions and answers'!!! The only trouble is that it is quite a sad state of affairs.

As a final note, if you have time, look at the ROGER KIRBY web site noted in George's reply above and read through the page on the 10¢ Washington. It is brilliant! Enough said.

Simon, as far as I know the SCW is still in operation and if the item was reported to them then the item would have been declared a fake and the lot deleted within a few minutes as US material gets priority over all other material.

p.s. Just reported it,

nice and simple so even the buffoons at Ebay will pass it onto the SCW,

" This item is an obvious forgery "

Re the copyright issue - do you think we should delete the images above or leave them running?

It still has three bidders at $A105 or above and closes in just under 8 hours.

Simon, I believe that the scans would come under the "fair use" principle, where parts of copyright material can be displayed provided that they are not reproduced without comment, and it is also in the public interest that they stay on public display for future reference.

Something like this would never ever get very far. At worst, Glen may get a letter one day advising that copyright has been infringed (which I believe it has not), please remove, and at that point, they can be removed.

Also given that the auction has not got long to run I don't really think this is an issue at all.

He is at it again ...

... this time with stamps from Canada, GB and Barbados ... way over described ... misclassified and/or misleading descriptions and with grossly incorrect use of the terms FU (when not fine); Superb (when definately not) and 'Rare investment opportunity' (when definately not).

I understand that in Australia at least it is illegal to use the word 'Investment' in a marketing/selling description or pitch without being a licensed investment advisor ... and this certainly should be reported.

... a regular pattern is occuring and it is not good!

Re: Recently cleaned Vic Fiscal offered by '2007sibir' for $1250

Post by admin »

Just an update 6 months after (the late) Simon Dunkerley's great "Stamp News" expose on the stamp forgeries/nonsense of this seller 2007sibi - he appears to have got the message, and right now anyway, does not appear to be offering any dubious stamp confections.

Another victory for stamps, and for stampboards for starting on him.

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/2007sibir_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ

Simon will I am sure be looking down with a satisfied smile on his face, as wiping these sellers of obvious fakes off the scene, was a major mission of his in recent years, and we need to keep up the pressure on such folks in the future to honour his memory -
