The Collective Protocol Kindle Edition
The telepath’s gifts are magnified using cutting edge technology, allowing her to inflict heavy damage upon the country of her birth as she orchestrates widespread wildlife attacks, uprisings among the homeless and succeeds in turning Americans against the police, who seem possessed by demons as they strike out against law-abiding citizens.
Several of the incidents seem to swirl around Washington, D.C. native Reagan Lockhart, causing the lead investigator from the FBI’s Unorthodox Crimes department to conclude that she’s somehow involved. The girl is thrust into the middle of an international scheme to systematically destroy the U.S. where she must ultimately face Paige in a battle of ferocious energies.

A veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Brian Parker retired from the US Army after 25 years of service in 2020. Brian enjoys hiking, obstacle course racing, writing, and Texas Longhorns football. He's an unashamed Star Wars fan, but prefers to disregard the entire Episode I and II debacle...and the newer Episode VIII disaster.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2014Great novel! Loving the new direction that Brian Parker has taken with this paranormal thriller. I have enjoyed the post-apocalyptic zombie books he's written, and was definitely looking forward to this latest release. Having a female lead is new for the author, and he did a great job with her voice- nothing trite about it. As always, the author's military experience shines through in The Collective Protocol, anchoring a supernatural plot line with the implementation of believable and realistic strategies and tactics. It's a fun read. I highly recommend this book- you will enjoy it!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2014This is the second book written by Brian that I have read. Once again I was very pleased. The only bad thing that I can say is that I am now without a book from him to read. I am eagerly anticipating the release of his future books. I can say without a doubt that I will read his entire collection.
I highly recommend this book for anyone.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2015This is the first book that I have read by Brian Parker and I totally loved the book. I had so many mixed emotions over the character of Paige, feeling sorry for her, hating her and wanting to shoot her myself. But I do love the character of Reagan and her coming into her "powers". To me, this is a 5 star read!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2014I loved this book. Never have I read a story that pitted our two countries against each other, let alone in such a way as to leave the reader without prejudice against either nation. Extremely well written and entertaining. Thank you Mr. Parker for another great book!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2015Top notch psycho-para-thriller. Do not miss out on this one. Brain Parker will not let you down
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2015Very interesting. The book has its Science-Fiction genre, but holds a believable atmosphere in the read. The contrast in the main characters leads up nicely to the revelation of the relationship between the two. On at least one occasion (referencing the first club scene) Regan offers a believable explanation to her survival on the chaotic event. It is not until later that a more plausible explanation, plausible within the confines of the world created for the book, is revealed: her connection to the antagonist. Parker, the author, does well to build to the revelations that take place. The fact that the enemy to the U.S. is Canada is unexpected. More explanation as to the reasoning for the disconnect between the two countries would be appreciated. (However, my personal ability to recall all details within a first read is limited, so explanation may be there, just forgotten.) The climax, not to be revealed in this review, is definitely climactic, but a bit expected as well.
Reading of his other novels is definitely on my To Do list...along with a few other authors' various books as well as recently found novels and others aging on my shelves.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2015Great book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2016I knew the Canadians weren't peaceful! It's all an act lol. I've already been teasing my Canadian wife about this! Excellent story by Brian Parker. Thank you for your military service! As for the narrator, she has a lovely voice and was very easy to listen to. The reason for my 4 star rating was because of the mispronunciation of some words. That may be a bit harsh but to me it's irritating. The English language is complicated, but Google will show you the correct pronunciation of any word you're not familiar with. It will even say the word for you. Other than that, i really did enjoy the book!
