The Texas Association of Language Supervision (TALS) presents the Texas Conference on Coordinating Languages (TeCCL). The theme for this year’s learning is “From What We Know to What We Do: Making Proficiency-Based Teaching Happen” presented by Dr. Florencia Henshaw, our keynote speaker. In this workshop, participants will explore what it means for practice to be research-informed; risks in following language teaching trends without solid understanding of its merits and shortcomings; to what extent pedagogical practices serve our language proficiency goals; and common challenges when transitioning from traditional teaching practices to proficiency-based instruction.

No on-site registration will be available. Please register by Friday, Oct. 7.

We will host our TALS annual business meeting on Thursday, Oct. 20 during lunch time.
