*WHAT IS AN ON-THE-SPOT SERVICE ACTIVITY?
A Service Activity can be any act, small or large that a participant can do in five minutes or less that will help another person, group of people, animals or the environment.
Examples can be simple to complex. Here are a few to get some ideas:
- Writing thank you or appreciation cards to service members or folks in need
- Having participants assemble kits with hygiene or fill book bags for less the fortunate
- Signing petitions or pledges
- Creating "Love grams" to promote Random Acts of Kindness
- Making posters, taking pictures, or posting on social media helpful information or positive encouragement
 - This year, Delaware Prevention Partners is helping to support a focus on peer-to-peer messaging that encourages participants to create social media posts or share pictures or facts that can help spread useful information. This means your Service Activity could be having participants create their own public service messages to promote positive behaviors.
