Today's Featured Biography
Barbara Hartman Waganfeald
1972 - Husband David. They have toured England, The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
1992 - Self Employed. Owns real estate - rental. Children Marilyn 29, David 26, Grandchildren David 2 Caleb 1. Hobbies ""I have a lovely daughter and son-in-law (Hale Driggs) and of course the best two grandsons. I also have the very best daughter-in-law (also a Whitmer Graduate Julie Ficshback Waganfeald). I volunteer at Flower Hospital . . . also interested in floral design.
Whitmer memorable experience: Field Hockey which I really enjoyed, also Stacy's tumbling. I remember skipping pep session with some other girls and getting caught. What I have learned: Life is ever changing, go with the flow. How I have changed: I was married two weeks after graduation and now 30 years later I am separated from my husband and living alone for the first time in my life. Its great! I also do a lot of traveling. I have been to Cancun, Mexico twice lately.
2007 - "Widow. Grandchildren. 5 - age 17 down to 2. I worked in several flower shops, last was mid 90's mainly the Anderson's.
'"Hello after all these years. Dave (my husband) passed away in the 90's, after many years of heart trouble. He had a massive heart attack when we were 37 years old.
My children both live in the area, Marilyn and husband Hale and 3 boys live in Sylvania. David and wife Julie, son and daughter live in Temperance, Mi.
We attend lots of baseball tournaments and dance competitions.I was a homemaker most of the years. I did have several jobs in different flower shops.
I worked the longest at the Anderson's Flower shop on Talmadge. I quit there to take care of my mother after my father passed away in 1990. I have traveled road trips to all lower 48 states, many more than once.
My friend Bill and I have traveled on a two month road trip. We traveled north to British Columbia by train, then south to L.A., where we took a cruise to the Mexican Rivera, with 3 ports of call.
That was a trip to remember we visited many beautiful places. Mt St Helen's is my special place. I was blessed to see New Orleans before the hurricane, and then Bill and I went back after the storm for his work.
I hope your life has been blessed like mine.
