Call for Session Proposals: 2016 YEP-DC Policy to Practice Conference
The goal of the YEP-DC Policy to Practice Conference is to unite professionals from all sectors of education to engage in discussions that will ultimately result in greater outcomes for our students.

This year’s conference, "Our City as a Learning Lab for Urban Education Reform" will probe both achievements and challenges around improving education outcomes of all students in grades Pre-K-12 in Washington, DC.

We are looking for education professionals to engage participants in 75-minute sessions on issues endemic to urban education. Sessions should appeal to a variety of learning styles and are encouraged to be workshop-style, with discussion and interactivity playing a large role. This will help participants connect the Conference to applicable situations in their sector of education.

Your application should be based on an education topic in which you have some expertise and can facilitate a robust discussion. The audience for these sessions is a mix of education professionals in policy, practice, research, and everything in between. Key takeaways/objectives should be clear to attendees and drive the conversation. We're looking for a wide variety of sessions that will interest our members.

Accepted facilitators will be notified by February 5, 2016.  If you have any questions about the conference or designing your session description, please email yep.dc.conference@gmail.com.
