Day 1 I formed the majority chat, day 2 I was kicked out of it and I mainly played in minority for the remainder of the game. Around Final 9ish, the majority alliance figured out a way to cheat the system by coming up with the volunteering system (people didn't necessarily volunteer, but they were okay with going up with certain people and wouldn't try to prevent being nommed)
What the volunteering system implemented:
1) The alliance wouldn't have to fear turning on each other because they would volunteer at different times to keep the alliance intact.
2) You were nominated with someone of equal popularity or someone you thought you could beat so you wouldn't have to worry about being nommed against a popularity threat.
3) It gave the people on the outside no room to play the game, nobody was willing to talk to me, make a deal with me, do anything to help me.
4) You didn't have to fear your allies backstabbing you because everyone had agreed to go up at a certain point.
Who was in it:
There was a majority within the majority, the one using the volunteering system were Austino, Mahogany, Blackout, and Sebbers and then Tyg and Makethemdie were in the majority but weren't aware of the volunteering system.
When was it used:
9th place noms Austino (volunteered) against Albert
7th place noms Mahogany (volunteered) against Makethemdie (IT FAILED EPICALLY)
5th place noms Blackout (volunteered) against Tyg
4th place noms Sebb was suppose to volunteer against me but he was smart enough to not go through with it.
The reason I was targeted so much was because I was on the outside, even the days where I wasn't a counter people wouldn't approach me to get me to nom with them, the days I was safe I HAD TO GO to people and find out what was happening. Each time the volunteering system was implemented, the blame would be put on me as to why certain people were nominated.
For example:
7th Place nom sets were Sebb/Makethemdie & Mahogany/Tyg when Mahogany/Make went up they told Makethemdie I split noms to get them 2 up and he believed them
5th Place nom sets were blackout/tyg vs makethem/sebbers when blackout/tyg went up they told Tyg that I had voted with makethem/sebbers/austino to get him up and he believed them.
Basically the reason I had nothing going for me was because each time someone on the outs of the majority got nominated, the blame would go to me. They were told I split/flipped noms on them when in reality it was their own people doing it because of the volunteering system. The volunteering system was the perfect thing for these people because it kept me away from power, and the people using it felt safe because they would be going up with someone they thought they could beat in a poll. They would always have the votes because of this system, no matter how I locked, who I talked to, what I did nothing was going to change because of it.
At the end of the day at least I can say I played the game the way it was meant to be played, I didn't do this volunteering system crap. Stars would be a hot mess if people did this every game, the people in power would stay in power as long as they all went up against someone they felt like they could beat.
